Here’s my take on the Chanel-inspired gal on the go formula. It’s true to my new quest for clean, simple, modern and bold elements in my style, which makes me happy.

Working with Fernanda crystalized some thoughts about my own style journey. My attraction to strong simplicity is greater now than it has ever been before.

Our first day with Fernanda in Mexico City was great! We met Fernanda, Dulce and had the best tacos in town.

I packed three outfits for Mexico City, one for each day. This one is a very typical, easy-to-put-together outfit for my style.

Here’s another pair of Scarpasa’s low heeled pumps. The outfit is boyish, but I feel just as feminine as I would in a form fitting sheath dress.

Pulling on a simple casual dress with boots gets me out the door in two secs. This dress is from Karen Kane and it’s as comfy as my sweats.

Here is a pair of trendy trousers worn in a modern classic way. The colours are soft and the accessories clean and crisp.

Although I still bat for Team Pink, I’m slowly adding purple items to my wardrobe. This sweater is the coziest one I own and adore it’s boxy cut.

This outfit’s more subtle 70’s inspiration is closer to my usual style. Fawn coloured belt and boots, wider cut jeans and a tucked-in top create a nice change.

Writing blog posts with tea and puppies on a casual Sunday afternoon. Jeans, button down and an argyle sweater.

The Chanel girl adds a fun 70’s vibe to her style. It’s a lot more earthy and gold than you are used to seeing.

I’m excited about my long tweed shorts. As a companion for boots and booties they make a welcome change from my skirts.

I transition two dresses into Autumn with the help of a pussycat bow blouse. One look is dramatic and the other is subdued and monochromatic.

For my last day at Fashion Week I wore an LBD with a big splash of Citron. My stacked heel pumps would have been ideal with this ensemble, but with feet still tender I wore comfy flat oxfords instead.

After seeing tomato red in the shows all week, it was my turn to wear a bright tomato red dress. I paired my vintage frock with a faded denim jacket.

A theatrical outfit was born when I paired my comfortable flat oxfords with a purple Ted Baker dress, a colourful bag and pearls.

I’m still recovering from Day 3’s shoe challenge so I wore smart casual denim on denim to accompany my uber-comfortable Fidji mary janes.

Back to bright colours after my head to toe black ensemble the day before: A colourful sheath with my Citron trench and red Kate Spade stacked heels.

I seldom wear black from head to toe, but did so today as a tribute to New Yorkers and the sea of black outfits that are very much prevalent at Fashion Week.

We ended up missing our first show after a long wait in line for press credentials, but there was still a lot to see in and around the new venue at Lincoln Center.
