Another year with hundreds more blog posts under our belt. That’s a lot of writing, thinking, photography, and brilliant engagement from our readership in the comments section. The number of blog comments are not a reliable indicator of the value of a post — not by a long shot — but it’s interesting to see which posts generate the most discussion.

Here are ones that received between 90 and 165 comments:

There are also some posts that didn’t generate quite as much discussion, but that I really enjoyed writing. I am most proud of the posts where I feel that I was able to break down a topic and provide helpful, tangible advice that you can easily put into practice.

Our 2015 survey results confirmed that our readers like these sorts of posts too. The most popular posts on YLF are those that cover detailed style advice. Good thing I enjoy writing them!

What a fabulous list. This will generate much rereading! So many favorites, so it’s hard to choose but I think I loved the travel capsule best because I have trouble with capsules and it was to see a real working wardrobe and follow how it held up over time. Of course and post with your Dad, Greg or Sam will always be way up on my favorites too!! On style, I really liked the three style attributes that transcend the trends since I keep my clothing for a long time. But incredible variety, it will be interesting to see other fabbers top choices!!

Oooh, there are plenty here that I remember well, and many that I will be revisiting.
I always enjoy posts on capsules and ensembles the most because they provide plenty of inspiration for remixing my wardrobe in ways that I may not have thought of myself.
I’m sure we all appreciate just how much time, thought and effort goes into your posts, Angie. Thank you for sharing your expert advice so generously.
Now I’m off to revisit some of my favourites.

Angie, thank you as always! What a good idea to reflect and take stock. And these are timely reminders for us, too; I’ll bet some readers jump straight to 8 Ways to Beat the January Blues! I always adore your outfit posts and the ensembles, which I refer to again and again when inspiration is failing me. But the detailed style advice posts really are top of the charts good. I’m off to review a few now!

It’s amazing to see your body of work in only a year’s time, isn’t it? As Anne Lamott famously says about writing: Bird by Bird. The “birds” add up, and soon you have thousands of words and a veritable treasure trove of knowledge!

I remember that premium denim post well, because I enjoy the posts where you share your insight into the business side of fashion (why has premium denim as manufactured recently become less desirable to some), and what’s working on your clients (non-premium denim was fitting your curvy clients much better than premium at a fraction of the cost and similar quality).

Another favorite came when you coined the phrase “organized emotional shopping.” An instant classic!

The packing posts were my favorites. DH and I go on 3-day weekend road trips all summer long, plus the usual two or three weeks of vacation, so those packing posts came in super handy. My joke was always that packing was easy – I just put the house in the car (oh ha ha ha) – but now, referring to your guidelines, I am much more focused and take only what I need. No overpacking anymore!

My favorite posts are…well, I enjoy them all. I also enjoy Greg’s photos so much. The posts I come back to are the detailed style advice and ensembles. I depend on your posts for how to wear a new trend. You feed my need to be creative.

Thank you for reminding us of the “best of” posts. I think I missed quite a few, actually. I’ll be perusing them.

I loved the light grey and white ensemble. Also, bookending hair color with footwear. I’ve really taken this one to heart, adding a lot of grey footwear. The random outfit generator is really goofy. I enjoyed seeing others put together outfits this way.

What a great list! There’s so much wisdom, inspiration, eye candy, and even cute Sam here… What more could we want? I think what I like most about your posts is the variety. Yes, the detailed advice is great, but I like having it mixed up with outfit posts, Angie picks, thought provoking discussions, and fun tidbits.

Your travel capsules have been a lifesaver. I used to have panic attacks when I had to pack for any trip longer than 3 days, and now it’s so much easier, and even enjoyable. I find the color-related blogs very inspiring as well. I could go on and on, but those are my top 2.

There’s no way to choose favorites, but I do enjoy the posts where you combine new and old pieces to make a fresh look, and I really value your roundups where you list picks. It’s opened my eyes to pieces I might not otherwise consider.

Wish I had a little more time to go back and read all of the posts. That said, it was fun checking a few out again. Apparently my reading comprehension isn’t what it used to be!

Looking at your tomato and turquoise posts, I was inspired to click through to the Furla bag. It comes in Aubergine! I think I will have to put this on my list of style goals for 2016! (Sure don’t have the money post Christmas.) I’m not crazy about bags with zipper closures, but I find I’m a little lazy and don’t really like to close up any of my bags, lol. This looks like a FAB bag that would last forever!

Also, beginning to formulate some style goals for 2016…I read your post on exercising personal style in harsh weather. I definitely need a few more colorful sweaters (for several reasons…it’s not all that harsh in Denver.) Thanks, Angie!!

I love it all and the blog is a big part of my day. My day starts off best if I can read it before work.
My favorite post this year are those that feature Sam and Greg.
The ensemble post have helped me boarded the fuctionality of my wardrobe.

I love all YLF posts to be honest. I do have a soft spot for the Friday ensembles and I love detailed style posts like the renewal one that Shedev mentioned. Your own outfit posts Angie are always a real treat and of course ones featuring Greg or little Sam.

Now we have an index for your book Angie! I enjoy all of your posts for different reasons but my absolute favorites are the ones that analyze the steps you go through with your clients. So I loved the seven steps to closet renewal, the closet review posts and so on. But I also love to your outfit posts – both the beautiful pictures and the detailed way you describe the choices you made. And on and on. Thank you so much for a fabulous year of great posts!

I too love the process posts like internal and external factors that affect your style and building your wardrobe’s color palette. I read those repeatedly and then did some work on my own. In 2016, I’d be interested in some special occasion guidance or ensemble posts. What to wear to a casual wedding, and what to pack for a tropical vacation for example. On the opposite end of this spectrum, I’d love some stay-at-home inspiration — work from home outfits etc.
