This ensemble was inspired by client outfits that came together in the dressing room during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. For example, Vince Camuto’s Pleat Front Blouse was paired with Halogen’s V-Neck Merino Wool Cardigan in soft pink to create a divine twinset effect. It was combined with Halogen’s Kick Flare Knit Ankle Pants in red, blush or silver footwear, and red or soft pink bag. A scarf in the same palette was an effective way to finish off the look. Here are the items from the sale that created the vibe.

Think of ways to combine a soft shade of pink with bright red. Here are some outfit ideas to get you started. I kept black and grey out of the mix and used silver as the neutral, just for fun.

Soft Pink Top & Bright Red Bottoms

Combine a pale pink top with a red pair of trousers or skirt. Wear a cardigan over a pink top in the same shades to create a tonal and rich twinset effect. Finish off the outfit with silver sandals and pumps, or soft pink loafers or flats. Choose a red, pink or silver bag.

Soft Pink Top & Red Patterned Bottoms

Combine a pale pink top with a pair of red patterned pants or skirt. A red patterned dress looks fab with a pale pink cardigan or jacket. Finish off the outfit with silver sandals and pumps, or soft pink loafers, sneakers and flats. Choose a red, pink or silver bag.

Bright Red Top, Jeans & Soft Pink Scarf

This is probably the easiest option to pull together from your wardrobe. Combine a bright red top with blue jeans, soft pink footwear, and a scarf in the palette of the outfit. A soft pink bag that matches the shoes creates a complement that pulls together the look even further. Add jewellery, eyewear and watch as desired.
