There are sales aplenty, but sale items are moving faster than I expected. It goes to show that people enjoy a bargain. This week’s roundup contains both sale and full-price items. I’ve seen most of these items in person. Be sure to check out the colour options and rave reviews.
- Club Monaco Matie Trench Jacket: Impeccable modern classic trench coat in a unique shade of sage. Sharp, timeless, and polished with a slight sheen. Beautiful buttons. Size up if you prefer a roomier fit.
- Rebecca Minkoff Talia Pullover: This one is for Team '80s, like me! I loved it, but it runs big and I could not size down. The XS fits like an S. Substantial fabric and fun architectural puffy sleeves.
- One Teaspoon Truckers Mid-Rise Straight Leg Jeans: Roomy boyfriend-y jeans with slight distressing and unique dark stitching. Fits curvier body types, and straighter body types might need to size down.
- Kule Modern Tee: Classic, simple, clean and crisp, if you enjoy wearing a simple and polished tee. Best on a longer neck and/or smaller bust.
- Jason Wu Open Back Poplin Shirt Dress: I haven't seen this in person yet, but have my eye on it. Looks pretty, soft, elegant, comfortable, classic, and interesting.
- Tibi Easy Shirt with Zipper Detail: For Team BIG Shirt. It looks best worn boxy, loose and scrunched like the picture. Lots of volume, AND I've seen it work well on petites.
- 3.1 Phillip Lim Windowpane Pants: Beautifully made paperbag-waist pants at a cropped Summery length. Fab fabric. You have to tuck or semi-tuck tops to make the waist work. The rise is not that high, and there is plenty of room in the thighs and hips. Works on straighter and curvier body types with a defined waist.
- Eileen Fisher Hooded Coat: GORGEOUS lemon hooded parka that fits an assortment of body types. Boxy, fluid, and fab fabric.
- Hispanitas Brenda Platform Wedge Sandal: Beautifully made trendy Spanish sandal that is comfortable and supportive on a regular and wider foot. Good on those who like to wear black and white.
- Banana Republic Double-Breasted Linen-Cotton Blazer: '80s Blazer Fabness. It nips in the waist, has a roomy sleeve, and looks as Summery as all heck. Good on a curvier body type. You need to be at peace with the crease.
- Banana Republic SUPIMA Cotton Flutter-Sleeve Top: This flouncy cotton top is more practical and flattering than you think. It's a great way to wear a sleeve in a covered and breezy way. Comes in colours.
- Banana Republic Stretch-Cotton Ribbed Sweater Top: An effective body-con layering top for jackets and cardigans. Looks good worn on its own tucked into a flared skirt too. Multiple colours.
- Boden Roberta Top: A fably breezy high Summer top that is cool yet covered. Gorgeous lantern sleeves, 100% cotton, and comes in blue.
- Boden Georgia Jersey Tee: An interesting take on a classic striped tee that comes in colours. Gently fluid fit.
- Boden The Silk Shirt: Classic Boden silk blouses are the bomb, and this one is no exception. Luxe, beautifully made, feels gorgeous, against the skin, and looks like a million bucks. It dry-cleans beautifully and is very flattering if you like the classic soft blouse look. Comes in assorted patterns and colours.
- Sandy Liang Brimfield Bleached Denim Jacket: For Team '80s Acid Wash. Fun, very fluid, trendy, and works well in an all-neutral wardrobe.
- 1901 Stretch Cotton Twill Blazer: A modern classic with a fun striped lining at a good price.
- UNDERCOVER Siamese Cat & Stars Graphic Bomber Jacket: Quirky Designer Fabness for Team Siamese Cats. Beyond trends and always in style because it's that conversational and quirky.
- Nic + Zoe Suite Knit Linen Blend Blazer: If you like to wear coral and enjoy a soft and less structured warm-weather blazer - try this.
- Fuzzi Floral Ruffle Asymmetrical Mesh Skirt: A romantic skirt for Team Lilac. VERY comfy, easy to launder, crease-resistant, and fab in motion. Forgiving, and works on a range of body types.
- M&S Collection Cotton Hooded Parka Jacket: Very well made little fun rainproof parka that filled my wardrobe hole. I needed a short lightweight raincoat for Summer drizzle, and this fits the bill. I LOVE the retro swing silhouette and colour. It's best worn VERY fluidly like on the model. The brown buttons are attached to twirl tape which is a unique design feature. The hood isn't too big, and lies very neatly on the neck or on the head. It has a secret pocket on the inside lining for valuables. It's already a workhorse because I wear it in sunshine too. Looks nautical and is fab with blues and whites. Comes in olive.
- M&S Collection Pure Cotton Striped Midi T-Shirt Dress: EXCELLENT casual dress with pockets. The jersey knit is thin but the fit is really good so it drapes wel. No cling. Fab for the beach and pool, or a very hot casual day. It comes in three colours,
- Autograph Leaf Print Midi Tiered Dress: I LOVE the fit and fabric of this dress. A little 1920s, and beautifully made. It does not have waist definition but is tailored nonetheless. Best on a straighter figure and smaller bust. The blue is too muddy for my complexion so it went back. It would have been mine in a brighter turquoise.
- M&S Collection Cotton Rich Floral Long Sleeve Blouse: Very breezy and well-made blouse that is cool yet covered. A little Western, and fun with denim shorts. Runs big, and comes in two other patterns.
- Cole Haan GrandPro Low Top Sneaker: Super comfy and lightweight on a slightly wider foot.
- TIMELESS PEARLY Heart Wrap Long Pearl Necklace: A timeless necklace to wear over a higher neckline. Beautifully refined.
- PASKAL Laser Cut Circle Wrap Coat: A lightweight dressy evening coat to wear whenever you want to. Fluidly tailored. It does not hang well unless it's tied so consider yourself warmed.
- SIMON MILLER Denim Trousers: Trendy jeans for Team Straight through the hips and thighs.
- Madewell Daisy Daydream Button Front Tank Jumpsuit: One of our curvier forum members absolutely rocks this, and took my breath away. Stinking cute in a fun '90s way. Very neat armhole coverage and elegant subtle swoosh. Watch those trips to the loo, though.
- Boden Weymouth Linen Pants: Fabulous Summer pants that work well on a curvier and straighter figure. Best on a regular or longer rise - not waist - RISE. Straighter figures might need to size down.
- Boden Bar Necklace: Fabulous quality costume jewellery that comes in gold and silver. The semi double strand is creative and unique.
- Boden Bar Hoops: Unique Hoop Earring Fabness. Comes in gold, and gorgeous quality.
