Here are some items that have worked well on clients and forum members recently, or just caught my eye. I’m thrilled to see the abundance of colour and pattern this season, especially online. There is plenty of variety if you don’t fancy oh-so-trendy earth tones and animal print, or neutrals like black and grey. Be sure to check out all the colour and size options.

  • Old Navy Striped Poplin Popover Tunic Shirt for Women: A good popover shirt for petites with a larger bust. The cuffs fold back and look architectural. Comes in a pink stripe.
  • Maeve | Anthropologie Parkside Knit Dress: The flattering effect of these diagonal lines is SUBLIME. They accentuate OR flatten curves depending on your preference. Super comfy, elegant, and you don't need a flat midsection to wear it. Looks amazing with animal print flats too.
  • Casi Myra Bootie: Fun flat red boots with trendy square toe that are comfy and nicely made. They need another cushioning insole so that your feet don't feel so close to the ground. Quite wide in the toe box. I found them to run TTS and not small like the review mentions. Lovely deep blue-red.
  • NASHELLE 14k-Gold Fill Initial Mini Circle Necklace: Monogrammed necklaces are in and here to stay. Another iconic classic having its trendy moment. This type of dainty necklace can layer well with others, and looks a lot nicer than I expected. I wear a similar dainty monogrammed necklace almost daily with my pearls these days. Why not!
  • Barbour Millfire Diamond Hooded Quilted Jacket: A great jacket for a curvy hourglass. Plenty of room, and some shape thanks to back elastic contouring. Practical, polished, classic, and fab.
  • NEUVILLE NEUVILLERio Satchel: Metallic green bags are hard to find, and this one is adorable. It's less dressy in person, and not too big. It has an extra comfy wide crossbody strap that looks hip. Comes in red and silver. The red is more muted in person.
  • Caslon Jamie Perforated Bootie: These perforated booties are good for transitional weather or mild Fall & Winter weather. Of course, you can wear hosiery and knee-highs for insulation too. They are comfy and work on regular volume feet. Casual, yet neat and tidy.
  • DICKIES Relaxed Fit Carpenter Pants: I got these in red and they are fun, comfy and different. They are baggy in the thighs and legs but reasonably fitted in the seat and waist. They'll work for a curvier figure because of the room in the thighs and bottom. They bag out a bit during the day because they're 100% cotton. Moderate quality, and definitely needs a press after wash and air-dry. Comes in four colours.
  • Sole Society Dwani Faux Leather Satchel: Fab non-leather bag in a two-toned floral and structured silhouette. Comes in solids.
  • Blanc Noir Hooded Moto Blazer with Faux Leather Sleeves: Super cute "hard edge" hooded moto with LENGTH that's comfy, streamlined, and works well on a curvy figure.
  • Halogen Double Ring Leather Belt: Try a double-ring belt if you're a belt wearer. Available in neutrals.
  • Anthropologie | Anthropologie Gale Merino Pullover: A swingy pullover is a great way to wear an untucked top with interest. The silhouette works quite well for a larger bust because of the wider neckline. Arty and fun. NOT streamlined, so consider yourself warned.
  • Anthropologie | Anthropologie Wanda Cardigan: This is a good cropped cardigan to wear over skirts and dresses because it's short AND interesting. Its straight drape is architectural, and the V-neck works on most body types. The side vents are different. You can wear the cardigan buttoned up like a top too. Comes in colours.
  • Bl-nk | Anthropologie Honning Knit Pullover: This is for chartreuse lovers who run warm because of the short sleeves. Fab oversized drape with just enough tailoring in the neck and length of the sleeves. Works well on a larger bust, and/or broader shoulders. Of course, you can layer something warm and streamlined underneath.
  • Anthropologie | Anthropologie Dallas Carpenter Joggers: If you have a mild Fall or Winter, these chino-carpenter-jogger hybrids are a fun addition. They fit a curvier or straighter figure quite well, and come in olive.
  • Halogen Bias Cut A-Line Skirt: The best bias cut skirt I've seen this year. Nice to the touch crepe fabric. The drape and fit are GREAT. Really good on a curvy body type because the bias cut is more circular than tubular. No bumps. They did not skimp on the cut! As good on a straighter body type because it moulds to the contour of the body. Runs big if you need a narrow fit. Available in other patterns and colours. Some fabrics are nicer than others.
  • Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Gore-Tex Waterproof Lugged High Top Sneaker: These are beautifully made, and weatherproof because of a Gore-Tex finish. Gorgeous quality. SUPER cute on the foot in a chunky trendy way. They are warm, and will fit most feet because of the ample room and lacing. Extremely comfy. They fit low-volume feet like mine with thick insoles to take up width. NO ZIP, but the hiking hooks make taking them on and off a lot easier. The thick soles do make them heavier than my other three pairs of leather and weatherproof hi-top Converse, but it's not a train smash. The yellow is more mustard in person. Comes in black and burgundy too. Burgundy is available on the Converse site. The mustard earned a place in my wardrobe, and I've worn them several times already.
  • Boden Bella Ponte Top: A fab fitted knit top for a mild Autumn or Winter because it does not layer well under a jacket or cardigan. Fine under a coat with roomier sleeves. Comes in five colours. Pretty!
  • Boden Andrea Jacquard Tunic: A comfy, cosy and streamlined tunic to wear over skinnies, straights, cropped straights, leggings or cropped flares. Four fab colours. Make sure the length of the sleeves works under your toppers. Not good on pear shapes, unless you are slightly pear shaped.
  • Boden Tara Jersey Shirtdress: A comfortable knitted dress that works in mild weather and is best on a straighter body type. Casual and polished. Fab with white sneakers.
  • L'Amour Des Pieds Fruma Lace-Up Boot: These '90s inspired booties work well on regular volume feet with bunions. Roomy in the toe box in all the right places. Rugged, yet crisp.
  • Boden Abigail Jersey Dress: A comfy and flattering dress on an assortment of body types, although best on a regular and smaller bust. Plenty of length for tall gals. Fab for Fall and Winter with booties, hosiery, and long cardigan, or midi coat.
  • ELOQUII Wrap Waist Jersey Midi Dress: A beautifully flattering and pretty dress that comes in black. Can work on a larger bust. Elegant and comfortable. Layers well under a cashmere wrap, or cape.
  • Miz Mooz Miz MoozLetty: A good shoe for a wider foot, and very comfy too. A fab cool-toned red. Comes in teal on the Nordstrom website.
  • Dansko XP 2.0 Clog: If you enjoy wearing Dansko clogs - try a trendy pair in floral patent. They are super cute under full-length bootcuts and flares.
  • Geox Leelu High Top Sneaker: These are very comfy on a regular and slightly wider foot. A glitzy sneaker with lots of interest, and comes in black. Tailored on the foot.
  • Karen Platform Sneaker: A refined and on-trend flatform sneaker that's comfy, works on a range of feet, and is a slam dunk worn with bootcuts and flares.
  • Banana Republic High-Rise Wide-Leg Jean: These flares look great on a curvier and straighter body type. The rise is long, but not too long for my shorter rise. The length that they are showing with the sneakers is fashion-forward and practical. Very roomy in the legs, and fitted on the midsection and seat. Stinking cute new trendy silhouette, which earned a place in my wardrobe. I LOVE these, and am wearing them a lot with a TUCKED top to showcase the structure on the midsection and bottom. I like how the fabric floats around my thighs instead of clinging to them. Fab with flat boots and chunky sneakers.
  • LE STELLE Evie Water Resistant Faux Leather Moto Jacket with Removable Faux Fur Collar: I haven't seen this in person, but it looks gorgeous, and could be fab over skirts and dresses.
  • FRAME Shirred Shoulder Tee: This is for Team "80s. It looks SO good with a bit of lace camisole peaking out from under the low V-neck. Comes in navy too. Quite fitted.
  • Nili Lotan Shon Stretch Cotton Pants: These lantern pants look stinking cute on my curvier petite client. They look good on a straighter figure too. Avant-Garde Fabness. If you like fun casual pants, and don't mind a bit of volume - try them. They run a size big.
  • SOL SANA Megan Wedge Oxfords: These trendy platform and wedged oxfords are very comfy and can work on feet with bunions if your feet aren't too wide. Extremely fun and trendy under big baggy pants, wide crops and wide full-length pants.
