2017 is one of the better Fall shopping seasons. There’s lots of good stuff across a wide assortment of colours, silhouettes, lengths, dress codes, textures and fabrics. I’m having one of my best Fall and Winter shopping seasons ever, and most of my clients are extra excited about their refreshed cold-weather wardrobes.

This week’s assortment covers a large spectrum of wardrobe items and sizes. Remember that items are available in multiple colours.

  • Vince Camuto Windswept Bouquet Bell Sleeve Blouse: A flouncy blouse with exuberant sleeves that drapes like a dream. More structured in person and works well on a larger bust. The shorter length of the sleeves is practical. Also available in regular sizes.
  • Vince Camuto Split Bell Sleeve Blazer: A blazer with split bell sleeves is unique and brilliant layered over a bell-sleeved blouse. Bell Squared FTW. Sleeves can be shortened with ease. Works well on a larger bust. Also available in regular sizes.
  • Kate Spade New York Women's Cheetah 3 Pack Sock Set: These are my new favourite socks because they are thick, cosy, fun and cotton-rich. If you don't like wearing wool socks like me, try these. They also come in a red and burgundy colourway. I have both sets of colours.
  • Mango Floral Embroidery Coat: Fab Tomboy top coat with yummy embroidery. Sleek, forgiving and hangs well. Works on a range of body types.
  • Mango Planet Embroidery Scarf: Solar System Fabness in navy blue.
  • Mango Furry Hooded Parka: Olive parkas are extremely popular and available, but versions with faux fur cobalt lining kick things up a notch. Forgiving fit, and quite the statement.
  • Mango Embroidery Snake-effect Bag: Adorable small holiday bag with a strap. One for Team Bird Watchers.
  • Mango Checkered Wool-blend Coat: Checked Tomboy peacoat with a trapeze back. Quirky and fun.
  • Nic + Zoe Seamed Riding Jacket: A comfortable fitted knitted blazer that is a great cardigan substitute. The princess seams create vertical integrity, and streamline the silhouette. Read the rave reviews.
  • Mango Contrast Hooded Parka: A boxy hooded parka with an architectural edge. You have to be okay with the voluminous side view. Very 2017.
  • Anthropologie Floral Tights: Try these under a holiday dress instead of black tights.
  • Boden Bridget Clutch: A roomy and large velvet clutch that can be dressed up or down. It has a chain shoulder strap if you prefer not to clutch a clutch. The olive is as fab as the cranberry.
  • Madewell Medium Perfect Leather Belt: A simple jeans and trouser belt that is extremely soft and lightweight. It lies very flat against the waist. The gold metal buckle is subtle. All the colours are nice. I bought the black to match my new floral oxfords.
  • Gabby Skye Ruched Crushed Velvet Dress: An easy, on-trend and comfortable holiday dress for a larger bust and/or shorter neck.
  • Alfani Houndstooth-Check Ruffle-Sleeve Blouse, Created for Macy's: A ruffled-sleeve blouse that works well on an apple shape with a larger bust and strong shoulder line. Comfortable and with weighty drape. Excellent with black bottoms. Crease-resistant. Good for travel.
  • J.Crew The 2008 Andover peacoat in Italian wool: If you're after a purple peacoat, try this darling. An absolute classic that transcends the trends. Best on a straighter figure.
  • J.Crew Faux-fur leopard vest: Faux Fur Vest Fabness. Size down.
  • Madewell Plaid Tie-Neck Shirt: An interesting pussy bow blouse in an earth-toned check. Casual, yet dressier than a regular plaid shirt. Nice drape.
  • Via Spiga Malena Slip-On Sneaker: Sleek and sporty fashion sneakers that work on higher volume feet. Very comfortable. All the colours are nice.
  • Eliza J Metallic Floral High/Low Skirt: A GREAT high-low skirt to wear to a dressy event. Add a sleek black top, a cropped moto jacket or denim jacket, a pair of dainty shoes and a clutch, and you're good to go.
  • Zara Wool Coat with Wraparound Collar: An ink blue cropped trapeze coat for LONG necks and arms.
  • Sam Edelman Lulie: Fabulous Modern Retro low-heeled party shoes for low volume feet and narrow ankles. Cushioning and soft. Comfortable. The buckles might catch your ankle bone, but a little moleskin on the inside of the buckle solves the problem. They look most festive in pink velvet. Comes in wide widths.
  • Madewell Velvet Bell-Sleeve Dress: This is supposed to be a dress, but works fabulously well as a holiday tunic over pleather leggings. Best on broad shoulders and on those who can fill out the silhouette.
  • Madewell Embroidered Cutoff Sweatshirt: SUPER soft embroidered sweatshirt for regular height gals and petites. Too short for tall gals.
  • J.Crew Gold half-hoop earrings: Interesting D-hoop earrings. Large but quite delicate.
  • Aquatalia 'Pheobe' Weatherproof Genuine Calf Hair Pump: A cool-toned leopard pattern is hard to find, and these pumps are weatherproof. Moderately comfortable. Well made.
  • Boden Irene Ponte Dress: A fun frock for Team Curvy with a Defined Waist. But tends to work quite well on rectangular body types too. The fabric is weighty and heavy, AND lined. Really good drape. Lots of colours and patterns. Nice length too.
  • Chelsea28 Velvet Midi Dress: A '70s inspired velvet dress for Team Curvy. Excellent in motion. Could be fun combined with a pair of statement hose or black pleather leggings.
  • AGL Mary Jane Pump: A beautifully made dark pewter Mary Jane to wear with just about anything. Nice with hosiery. Super soft leather and can work with bunions. Good with black dresses.
  • White House Black Market Studded Belt: The burgundy is darker in person. Well made and amazingly unique amidst a sea of skinny neutral belts. It perfectly complements my new Bordeaux booties - so it followed me home. Size down a size.
  • Pelle Moda Uma: Fab low-heeled ankle strap pumps for higher volume feet. They were too wide for me, but super comfortable and pretty.
  • Eliza J Floral Jacquard Midi Skirt: A bold flared skirt WITH pockets. Impeccable fit and drape. Gorgeously dramatic and Modern Retro. Extremely comfy and in a great knee-covering length. Comes in a variety of patterns and colours. It's a lot of skirt so consider yourself warned. Not good on a short waist or apple-shaped body type.
  • Vince Camuto One-Button Blazer: A streamlined blazer that creates a sleek and slim effect. Lots of vertical integrity. Good on apple, inverted triangle and hourglass body shapes. Works well on a larger bust. Read the rave reviews.
  • White House Black Market Slim Jeans: On a whim, I tried these "Slim Jeans" from WHBM. They are perfect, and more affordable than premium denim. Tailored. Dark. Polished. Flattering. Versatile. Don't cut off my circulation. Plenty of length. Don't bag out. Mid Rise. Comfortable. Not nearly as skinny in person. NOT body-con. Excellent with heels up to 1.5 inches that I like to wear. Very practical for wet Seattle. Size down a size if you need a narrow fit. I sized down. My vote for best jeans of the year. Comes in longs and petites.
