These booties are ultra refined and pricey, but well worth a look if they are within your budget. You might consider saving up for a pair if they work for your feet because it’s better to have one pair of extra fabulous booties that go the distance, than several pairs that are okay, and not quite as comfortable.

All styles are extremely well made and of impeccable quality. Be sure to look through all the colour options because my choices might not be to your taste.

  • Stuart Weitzman Win Zipper: These are good for a higher volume foot because they are roomy all over. My low volume feet drowned in this style so I would have needed to size down half a size in order for them to fit - if they fit at all. The outside zipper is stunning. Very comfy.
  • Helmut Lang 'Schist Envelope' Bootie (Women): I haven't tried on this style, but it looks quite snug on the toe box and on the ankle. My guess is that it's probably best suited to low and regular volume feet. If I were looking for black booties, these would be a contender.
  • Prada Chelsea Boot (Women): Quite exclusive in the cognac colourway. They are a little less orange than in the photo. Refined Equestrian at its best. Well suited to low and regular volume feet and very comfy. Runs a size big like most Prada footwear. I saved up for these, and they are mine. I couldn't be happier with them.
  • Stuart Weitzman Modesto: These are best suited to a lower volume foot. They were a little snug in my regular size, so I would have sized up half a size if I were keeping them. Well suited to narrow ankles.

Booties are much easier to fit than taller boots, and can be worn with just about any bottom these days. They can also be weatherproofed with spray, and are a cold weather wardrobe essential.
