If you enjoy wearing blue and white combinations in the Spring and Summer, then these simple and easy to pull together outfits might inspire you. You’ll probably be able to shop your closet to pull a few of them together.
Personally, I love wearing all shades of white with all shades of blue in warm and hot weather, and it’s a go-to palette. Unlike the outfits here, I add brights like citron, shocking pink, lime green, orange, and tomato red shoes, belts, and bags to the look. But not all the time. I enjoy keeping the look neutral too.
Onto the outfits.
1. White Pants, Blue Top, Black Accents
Combine a pair of roomy white jeans or pants with a blue shirt or blouse. Button the shirt all the way to the top if you like. Tuck the top into the pants. Add black accents in the form of a belt, shoes, sunnies, and bag. Note how the length of the wide pants works well with the sandals. They are sufficiently short so that the hems don’t slide under your heels as you stride. Tucking the shirt lengthens the leg line from the hips upward. Gorgeous Trendy Classic look.
Conversely, sub the white pants for a straighter white skirt, and wear a blue top untucked with black shoes and bag.
2. Blue and White Patterned Dress
There is nothing as easy – at least, not for me! – as popping on a pretty dress with movement on a hot Summer’s day. Here’s a lovely fit ’n flare frock in a blue and white pattern that is fabulous on the model. It’s completed with dressier heeled cream slides, a straw bag, statement white earrings and dainty necklace.
3. Tunic and Cropped Skinnies
Here’s one for Team Skinnies. Combine a blue and white patterned tunic with cropped denim skinnies. Finish off the look with white shoes like these open-toe clogs. The white of the shoes effectively picks up the white in the pattern. Remember that too short dresses can be worn as tunics too.
4. Denim Shorts and a BIG white Shirt
Last, a classic. Combine a pair of denim shorts in a length that works for you, with an oversized white shirt. Semi-tuck the front of the shirt to showcase some waist, which adds structure to the outfit. Add a cognac belt and sandals to finish off the look. Add a bag that works with the palette, which can be neutral or non-neutral. Add jewellery, eyewear, and watch as desired.
