My mom is no longer with us, and my daughter lives in a different state, so on Mother's Day I did a volunteer shift at our local design showcase house so the ladies who wanted to be with their families could be with their families. Everything I'm wearing is from a small Korean-owned boutique near my house -- stretchy pants, lightweight short sleeve sweater and this amazing navy cotton jacket that is embroidered with the word "Flaneur," which means "an idler or lounger." My husband and I have been calling ourselves flaneurs for years and when I saw this piece in the store I about died! Silver sandals are Aerosoles, sunglasses were bought on vacation in Amsterdam, and the hat, believe it or not, was a gift when we stayed at a fabulous winery just outside or Mendoza, Argentina a few months ago. I felt fresh and springy and I got a lot of compliments from the Showcase visitors. What say you all?
