Mint has been mainstream for three seasons and is still going strong. The shade has its pastel and mid-tone renditions, of which some versions are sweeter than others. Personally, I prefer wearing sea foam because it’s bluer than mint. But over the last few years, a true mint has been more popular with my clients than I thought it would be. It’s fun to wear as an accessory if you don’t fancy mint close to your face.
I’m very taken with Gap’s cropped Resolution Slim Straight Skimmers, and bought them in a greenish faded blue wash. I will be living in them as soon as the weather warms up.
- Banana Republic Canteen Crossbody: The cutest crossbody bag I've seen all year. Well made, a little quirky, and lightweight. Looks designer. Quite small. Won't fit a large wallet.
- Franco Sarto Holt: An extremely comfy ankle strap flat with genius back criss-cross strap detailing. The top and bottom straps are attached to each other, which makes the style more stable to walk in because the straps stay put.
- Boden Longer Length Casual Shirt: A bright mint shirt in a whimsical leaf pattern. Breezy and long. Good for tall gals. Might run a little small.
- Boden Summer Pencil: A fresh mint geometric pattern is a rare find. Works best on a straighter lower half. Might run a size small.
- Boden Maida Vale Bag: A casual tote with a dressy and crisp integrity. Well made and quite large.
- J.Crew Collection women's Ludlow blazer in mint Italian wool: A pale mint blazer that's best on a straighter body type. Good on taller gals because the welt pockets hang quite low.
- J.Crew Short-sleeve open-stitch sweater: Cute, comfy and slightly cropped. The sleeves are elbow length and could overwhelm a narrow shoulder line, so it's best on broad shoulders.
- J.Crew Merino wool metallic-striped sweater: A unique rose gold and mint striped sweater. Soft and lightweight.
- Richard Nicoll Dégradé Silk Crepe De Chine Shirt: An ombréd mint tunic that's fab over white skinnies, or partially tucked into white culottes.
- Ted Baker London 'Rose Ravina' Midi Dress: Floral mint midi fabness. The scuba fabric is thick and forgiving despite the snug fit. Might run a little small.
- Sleeveless Cropped Pullover: An excellent cut for narrow shoulders, a small bust and long neck. Great over high-waisted pants, jeans or skirts.
- Lush Roll Tab Sleeve Woven Shirt: Simple, roomy, breezy and inexpensive. The curved hemline and slim sleeves provides just enough structure.
- Vigoss Skinny Jeans (Mint): Stretchy, comfortable, and do not bag out.
- Earthies 'Bindi' Flat: A supportive Boho Chic flat with a tiny wedge. Read the rave reviews.
- BP 'Springs' Peep Toe Wedge Sandal (Women): A very high casual wedge heel that's comfortable if you can manage the height.
- BP 'Burt' Leather Oxford (Women): Super lightweight and comfortable, although lacks arch support. The mint adds a feminine touch to this boyish shoe.
- Sanuk 'Yoga Sling 2' Sandal (Women): The yoga sling sandal makes for a stylish "flip flop".
- David & Young Print Straw Fedora: Tropical and whimsical. Fun at the pool, beach and with casual outfits.
- Banana Republic Mini Larkin Tote: A beautifully made dressy mint tote. Looks like a designer piece. Fab for the office.
- Gap 1969 resolution slim straight skimmer jeans: A faded denim blue wash with greenish tint that can pass for mint. Super comfortable, high rise and quite stretchy, but no bagging out. Might need to size up a size. Works for both straight and curvy body types. The cropped length works well with ankle strap footwear, or rolled at the hem with just about any style of footwear.
