The Sale starts online at midnight tonight Seattle time (Pacific Standard Time). Nordstrom stores will open earlier than usual, which makes a shopping detour before work a distinct possibility. To recap, prices of new season Autumn and Winter merchandise are marked down 40% to 60% for two weeks only. Sale prices, but hot off the fashion press!  Needless to say this is my favourite sale of the year. And for that reason I will be burning the midnight oil to give you a list of my top sale picks in time for tomorrow mornings blog post.

It’s a good idea to keep on checking back on the sale both online and in stores, even if you’ve preselected. One, because the sale is overwhelming and you often find gems after extensive perusal. Two, because the assortment online and in stores is different. Three, items that sell out often come back into stock after the initial buying frenzy because people also return extensively.

Refresh your memory on how to navigate the sale with these tips. I’ll be at the downtown Seattle flagship at 8am tomorrow with my sister in law whose visiting from London. We’ve both preselected and are excited to pick up our goodies. But making final rounds in all departments and observing the crowds is also always fun on opening day.
