If you’re looking for bedroom slipper-comfy, non-patent, run around shoes, the Me Too “Nadia” ballet flat might be your answer. It’s more casual than the “Swann” and just as great. The leather-and-rubber sole provides instant flexibility and the foam-cushioned interior is as soft as can be.
I usually bypass shoes with elasticized toplines because the elastic cuts into my skin after twenty minutes of walking. But Me Too footwear is generally comfortable, so I decided to give these a whirl. Sure enough, I did have to size up half a size, but the elastic is gentle on the foot. It will also keep the shoes from falling off your feet when they stretch out (a common problem with super soft leather).
I was sold and came home with a Summery silver pair to wear with leggings, white, blue, or grey jeans, clamdiggers and breezy frocks.
Unfortunately Me Toos do not have arch support or come in wide widths. But you could pop in an orthotic, or have the toe box stretched to solve these challenges. Thank you Me Too for once again providing my fussy feet with a fabulously fun 8-hour flat.

The Nadia looks similar to the Me Too “Garner
”. There are more colours to choose from in the Garner, but I did not find them as comfortable. But if they work for you, they’ll make for another cozy and flop-proof ballet flat option.

Angie, I have wide feet, have you known other clients that can wear these that have similar foot issues? They are really cute!! How does one stretch the toe box?

I am really interested in Me Toos since reading so much about the brand here. I wear flats 90% of the time because comfort is hugely important to me, and my feet are pretty fussy, as well. These ones look nice, but the Garner that you linked to looks more up my alley.
Since I’ll be going to the States soon on holiday (10 days, can’t wait), I might try to see if I can track some down. Angie, do you know of any brick-and-mortar stores in NYC that carry this brand?

I’ve only tried on the elasticized style ballet flats one time and have since avoided them. I have one pair of MeToo ballet flats, a casual woven pair purchased in brand-new condition from Goodwill. I’m glad I bought them … they are extremely comfortable. Thanks for the encouragement to try the elasticized version.

Oh, I just looked at the picture again and see how these shoes have elastic on the top. I think that would feel much better than so many I see with elastic at the heel.

I have these flats in Bronze! They are sooooooo comfortable!!! I did not find the elastic to be even noticeable.
One caution about these: the soft metallic finish is rubbing off of mine is some areas. While I will definitely turn to this brand again based on comfort (I actually already bought a pair of patent heels from them!), I will be wary of any shoes with a soft finish like this.

I’m about to cave and purchase some ballet flats … these might be just the ones!

I do have wider feet and can fit into Me Toos no problem, even in my ordinary size. I too can vouch for their comfort. The reasonable price tag is another bonus!

I am ALWAYS on the lookout for a good ballet flat. I found a pair from Winners for $50, but I feel like I need more colours. Yellow is my new goal…

Another option (that does have some arch support and comes in wide):

The only flaw of these is that if I wear them without tights, they rub the back of my heel, not unbearably but in such a way that I can’t wear them again the next day. Other than that, they are amazingly comfortable and I can walk miles in them.

Me Too is one of the most comfortable brands I have tried. Will be on the lookout for this style.

I love the style and comfort of my MeToo Swanns and will look for the Nadia for other colors. Thank you, Cricket, for pointing out the the Nadia doesn’t have elastic in the heel area, the place that is usually uncomfortable in flats. I’d missed that important detail.

I just tried these on at DSW last night! So comfortable and really cute. They also have a bunch of Me Too Swanns and I bought a pair – they fit perfectly without any pain. Love Me Too shoes!

Thanks for the validation Phoebe, Jess and Michelle. I spray all my shoes with water proofing stuff I get at Nordies which keeps them looking a little spiffier for longer. I’ll gladly sacrifice a little premature scuffing for extra comfort.
GG, you can successfully stretch shoes at home with a shoe stretching kit. The shoe alterations post that I linked to above has the details. I’d say give them a go. Soft leather stretches really well.
Ele, Me Toos in store are a hit and miss because there is rarely a huge assortment. But try department stores like Nordstrom even though you’ll have to travel out of Manhattan for that. DSW is another good place to look. Zappos ships over night for free, so I’m wondering whether you can have these shoes shipped to your NYC address (hotel, family or friend) and return accordingly. It should be possible.
Joy and Cricket, the fact that the heel is NOT elasticized is vitally important. Well spotted.
Thanks for the link, Linda. At the moment, I have quite a few clients running around in these flats because they have excellent arch support:

Strangest thing. I cannot wear shoes with defined arch support like these Eccos, or brands like Dansko. They actually hurt my feet. I guess my own arch support is ample for the moment. Feet are so complicated!

Angie, can you use that spray on patent leather?

Has anyone actually had the toe-box of these shoes stretched? I bought a pair of Me Toos shoes in a style very similar to the Nadia last week in size 10 (with the elastic around the toe box), and since then felt like I need to have them stretched. I asked about it at Nordstroms and they didn’t want to stretch them because they had not had good luck stretching this type of Me Too shoes, something about the soft leather not looking good post-stretching?? This is difficult for me, because Me Toos in size 11 are definitely too way big for me, and there are hardly any 10.5s available in any style.
And unfortunately walking around today on the sidewalk I did rub off a bit of the metallic finish below the toe, so that is something to be careful with for sure.

Louise, I also spray patent leather shoes but the goo does not absorb as well as matte leather.
Rose, Nordstrom puts their shoes in a contraption that stretches out the entire toe box. A home stretching shoe kit is often more effective and forgiving as it allows you to stretch a certain part of the shoe only. If you read this post AND the comments, you’ll find helpful home shoe stretching suggestions:

Oooh….I’m seeing red for sure! Thanks for the tip Angie!

Very cute! These look pretty similar to the Me Too Ninis, which I like a lot. I sized down in the Ninis (which I do when I have a round toe box.) They were snug at first, but loosened up after a few wears, so I’m glad I didn’t buy them any larger.
Posted on May 12th, 2009 at 11:11 pm
I believe I just bought two of these lately, or at least an identical style from DSW! (The Nini’s, maybe?) I got them in the black and then a great patent brown-black croc pattern, which is my go-to flat now. The blacks are perfect for the understated look, and the crocs are for everywhere else.
I was very hesitant about their arch-less all-day comfort, but they’ve been held up amazingly well.

I don’t have this style, but I have an earlier one that is similar but has different detailing in the front. I love them for comfort on a regular work day. I’ve found there is not quite enough support for long days of walking, but I’m sure an insert would help, as Angie suggested. I do have to say, as Jess mentioned, that the leather on both the matte black and the purple patent pairs I have has rubbed off on the toe.
All this said, I do wear them frequently and some polish would probably do the trick. Just go in knowing this could potentially happen.

Nordstrom has just brought out yellow in the “Nadia”.I saw them in stores today. Super fab.

I have the bronze flats pictured. They are comfortable and pretty, but I did have to go up a size.
