I’ve decided to give Crocs another chance. My eye has adapted to the look and what I once thought was a ghastly ped, is really not that bad. They offer excellent ventilation for hot days and are the perfect walking shoe. I’m making a super fashion statement by wearing black Crocs with a black skirt suit. I receive loads of compliments when I wear this look and am rather chuffed. In fact, I may have started a trend. Try this great way of dressing down your business formal attire.

Keep the look streamlined by sticking to a monochromatic palette for this ensemble.

I, too, could not stand crocs when I first saw them — on my mother’s feet. she absolutely insisted that they were the best shoes for her aching feet and back. As much as I can’t stand the look of crocs, I do have to reluctantly admit that my mother has been …classy? in her use of them. She sticks with the monochromatic shoes that create a blended ensemble and she even manages to hide the fact that she is wearing crocs. I work in a preschool in the summer time and have discovered that for practicality reasons, the light-wieght, closed toed, airy crocs are a perfect combination of practicality and safety for that environment.

Gasp!!! You got me!!! Now, I’m “prepared” for what the rest of the day may hold…

I think this would look especially sharp if you added some of those jewel add-on thingies to the crocs. Very nice, indeed.

I would prefer to see you “pop” the outfit with a brightly colored croc instead.

Ghastly! Could scarcely believe what I was reading. I felt betrayed! Please never, never change your mind about these hideous shoes. I would seriously have to question your fashion sense! You had me–that was a good joke. Would like to respond in kind–but I’m not quite as cheeky as you my dear. Cheeky little squirrel you are!!

Oh my. Now let’s hope that what Marlene pointed us to (http://shop.crocs.com/pc-1174-…..n=products) is an April’s Fool joke as well. Sadly, I think it ain’t…

You made it believable (almost) by saying sticking to it monochromatically…
Good one!

Well, you got me, too. I could not believe what I was reading and seeing, all the time thinking that I wouldn’t be caught dead in those things, no matter what Angie said! Glad to know we still share the same philosophy!

My brother and his wife are nurses and they wear them to work. They say they are pretty comfortable in the Emergency Room. Anyway I wanted to get a pair for my mother as she is diabetic and they have a style for that purpose. The only problem was that I couldn’t figure out how she could wear them … I imagine all kind of casual outfit but a suit… !!! Thanks God I kept reading the answers!!!
Have a nice day.

Yikes, I had to read that twice – it was almost believable but I was starting to think you’d gone crazy until all the sarcasm came dripping through. Haha. That’s the second time I’ve nearly been suckered today!

Oh and you should be proud to know that this is the only April Fool of the day that I actually fell for (and believe me, there were quite a few)!
Posted on April 1st, 2008 at 5:05 pm
Happy to say I immediately knew it must be a joke. No self-respecting fashionista could like crocs!
Posted on April 1st, 2008 at 5:17 pm
Totally got me until I started to quickly scroll to through the comments to post my dissatisfaction and saw all the smiley faces.

Happy April Fool’s Day!
Just for the record, Crocs are still the ugliest shoes I’ve ever seen and I do not recommend wearing them with a suit, or anything else. Back to stylish business tomorrow.
Posted on April 1st, 2008 at 7:26 pm
I can’t believe I fell for it for the first 60 seconds! You are so funny. Thank you for lightening my day
Posted on April 1st, 2008 at 7:41 pm
This is so funny. You got me too.

Heart attack, Angie! I tell my 4 year old daughter that Crocs are for gardening, for taking to swim class, and going to the beach. She won’t even touch the thing to go to Starbucks.
