A new outfit from Veronica Popoiacu of Bittersweet Colours, whom we introduced to YLF in August 2013.

Veronica’s one-of-a-kind dropped-waist shirtdress combines structure with volume. The tailored top part is fitted on the shoulders and arms, and then gradually flares out into a full dropped-waist skirt that creates movement and swoosh. The colourful flowers embroidered in relief are like little works of art. Their topsy-turvy placement draws the eye down, while the high-low hemline and front seam of the dress do the opposite. A dainty pair of taupe flat thong sandals are low-contrast and lengthen the leg line. Veronica has kept the accessories simple to let the dress do all the talking: a raffia bag with leather braided strap and retro ivory cat eye sunnies complete this romantic Summer look.
