This is a sublime casual, perforated, slip-on sneaker made by Scandinavian designer, IIse Jacobsen. It’s super soft, very comfortable, and not too flat, thanks to a substantial sole, cushioning, and arch support. The unique keyhole shape on the vamp creates an interesting and flattering line on the foot.
It has been an absolute winner on my clients who have wide feet, or feet with bunions, because it is roomy and moulds to the shape of your feet. It also works for clients with wide upper feet and narrow heels. There are hundreds and hundreds of rave reviews, for good reason. But if you have narrow and low-volume feet, pass on the style.
It comes in 28 colours, and the uppers are made of recycled microfibre. The upper construction is made without glue and whipstitched into place with recycled thread. Super breezy to wear in the Summer despite their coverage because they have holes. Clients enjoy taking them on Summer vacation, and to the beach because they are waterproof, and easy to clean.
Our dear friend wore them in navy when she came to our place for a casual supper last week, and she looked awesome. She wore them with tailored navy cropped pants, a patterned billowing cotton blouse with big sleeves that was untucked, and pretty dainty jewellery. The pattern of the blouse has navy, olive and white, which picked up the colours of the shoes and pants. Best of all, her feet were very happy. She loves these shoes and can wear them all day without foot pain.
