EcoVibe is an apparel, homeware, and gift set lifestyle brand based in Portland, Oregon. It’s the combined vision of soulmates and co-owners, Leonard and Andrea Allen. Len is a Portland native who brings 30 years of rag trade experience to the mix, ranging from buyer, runway model, and personal stylist. Andrea has a background in health, wellness, sales and marketing. Together they are committed to the idea that a sustainable lifestyle is best, and should be accessible to all.
Len and Andrea are focussed on ethical production, sustainability, and the impact that the things they sell have on the environment. They take the time and care to consider where and how things are made, who makes them, and what they are made out of. That’s why the brand’s urban mix of clothing, footwear, accessories, plants, homeware, and gifts supports local designers, women, and minority and family-owned businesses. Production runs are small, unique, and lots of the goods are made of recycled and natural materials.
As I browse the apparel section of the site, I see simplicity, comfort, relaxation, a boho-lite sensibility for ladies wear, and earth tones galore. There are lots of neutrals, and in some cases an extended size curve. There is an emphasis on soft and cosy fabrics, solids, nature, practical dressing, and fluid silhouettes. Their homeware is understated, serene, natural, and as rustic as it is modern. Their gift sets are unique, timeless, gender-neutral, and won’t break the bank.
EcoVibe has two beautiful brick and mortar stores in Portland, OR, or you can purchase most items online if you live in the US or Canada. EcoVibe donates facial masks to our healthcare heros, and donates 1% of all online sales to environmental causes. And last, I’m particularly fond of EcoVibe’s Instagram page because dogs are welcome in their stores, and there are some fun photos of them. What a great company, and not far from Seattle.
