We see sheer tops every year because they are as classic as they are on trend. They can be knitted or woven, solid or patterned, and any length and silhouette. There are textured fabrics like lace, embroidery, eyelet, and open-weave knits, and smooth fabrics like chiffon, silk, crepe, organza, and mesh. Sometimes the entire top is see-through, and sometimes only part of the top is sheer.
This collection shows a range of examples.
I thoroughly enjoy wearing a pretty sheer top. I vote YAY.
I don’t wear sheer tops often because it has to be warm enough for me to feel comfortable, unless I’m layering them under a jacket. I enjoy cotton camisoles and wear sheer blouses, shirts, mesh tops, crochet sweaters, and open-weave sweaters with a camisole that works with my outfit’s pallette. Sometimes my camisoles have a bit of lace on them for that extra pretty. I feel modestly alluring in the look. It’s nice to showcase skin that’s covered, if that makes sense.
Here’s my current collection of sheer tops. A lace top is missing and on my shopping list.
Over to you. Do you vote yay or nay for sheer tops?
