There’s something about Fall and Winter wardrobe items that lends itself well to interesting details and fabric. It could be the texture of the piece, the richness of its colour, the subtlety of the neutral, or simply the coziness of the garment’s coverage.
Most of these items are winners on clients, and they cover a range of price points.
- Express faux leopard fur coat: A fun faux fur coat with an ombré effect. Fuzzy, retro and will not date.
- Loft Ribtrim Tunic Sweater: A fluid yet slimming pullover on most body types. Lots of colours. Not itchy.
- Topshop GORGEOUS Glitter Shoes: A festive party shoe that's quite comfortable if you can manage the heel height. The footbed is soft and cushioning. Runs wide and big.
- Loft Trumpet Sleeve Sweater: A wonderful pullover for petites. Works quite well on an apple shape. Runs a little small. Lots of colours, but the blue gets my top vote.
- Loft Cape Coat: A fab eggplant topper for oversized knitwear. Best on taller gals. Runs big.
- Loft Cherry Peplum Utility Blouse: A flirty peplum blouse with a high-low hemline. Brilliant on petites. Great drape. Flirty and flattering.
- Loft Pebbled Knit Peacoat: An excellent INDOOR pea coat. It's unlined, stretchy, and very comfy. Nice nubby texture. You can fasten the closures to create different silhouettes. Excellent on petites. Creates an hourglass effect on apple-shaped body types. Good texture.
- Loft Suede Zip Skirt: Best faux suede skirt of them all. The texture is sublime. Gorgeous colour too. Runs big.
- Loft Cherry Button Back Sweater: An adorable cherry pullover with buttons down the back. Modern Retro and whimsical.
- Ecco Shape 35 Snake Print Ankle Boot: Extremely comfy booties with a sturdy heel and high shaft. Works on regular and higher volume feet. A little wide for narrow ankles and runs big. Great in BOTH the grey and tan. The grey snake is more subtle.
- Adrianna Papell Fit & Flare Sweater Dress: A sweater dress for the hourglass and pear shape. Must have a defined waist to wear this style, otherwise it will cling. The colour blocking is strategically placed to narrow the midsection even more. Sleeves are very long, but can be turned back. Runs big. Good over leggings too.
- Tamaris 'Phanie' Oxford (Women): A pearly navy pointy toe oxford is a rare find. Works on high volume feet. Quite comfy.
- Longchamp '2.0' Two-Tone Leather Crossbody Satchel: The best chocolate brown bag of the year. STUNNING colour and quality. A nice size that also works well on petites. Casual Chic at its best. Very luxurious and refined, yet quite subtle.
- T Tahari Seamed Stretch Sheath Dress (Online Only): A great V-neck sheath for a short-necked inverted triangle or rectangle. Works quite well on an hourglass too. Fab on petites.
- Love Token Nicolette Faux Fur Coat: Fuzzy Fabness. Texture galore and a HUGE statement. A little bulky, but that's the nature of the beast. Nice quality. Runs big.
- Eileen Fisher Bateau Neck Velvet Top (Regular & Petite): A versatile party top and nod to the velvet trend. Works best on inverted triangles, rectangles and apples. Can be dressed up or down. Gorgeous with blingy jewellery. Very comfy. Runs big.
- Boden Sally Leopard Coat: A cool-toned and subtle leopard coat that works well on an apple and inverted triangle body shape. It is NOT tailored at the waist so consider yourself warned. Might run a size small.
- Rebecca Minkoff 'Luke' Leopard Print Wool Blend Coat: An impeccable grey leopard print coat that will stand the test of time. You have to be okay with the sharper shoulders. Quite streamlined.
- Furla Furla Camilla Medium Leather Tote Bag, Arancio: A little poppy red in the dead of Winter would certainly make me smile. Gorgeous quality, and a nice size, but the tote does not zip closed completely. It does have lots of zippered pockets though.
- COS Scalloped merino wool jumper: Moss green woolly scallops are divine. Good on a larger bust and NOT clingy on the midsection. Runs big. Plenty of length for tall gals.
- Topshop Leopard Print Coat: A cooler-toned, streamlined leopard coat for mild weather. Very lightweight. Can be worn indoors as a blazer. Straight lines, and works on most body types when it hangs open. Might run small.
- Topshop Embroidered Ma1 Bomber Jacket: Olive Embroidered Bomber Fabness. Quite the statement and bolder in person. Might run small.
- River Island Leopard Coat: A dramatic pattern in a classic cut. Dress it down with jeans, or up by layering it over a dress. Straight cut with room on the hips.
- Loft Mixed Media Shirttail Sweater: An excellent top for petites. Looks better and richer in person, and the back peplum detail is divine. Lightweight. Good under jackets too.
- Munro 'Jordi' Leather Loafer (Women): One of the best chunky loafers of the season and nicest in the black patent. Well made and very comfy if you get the right size. It runs narrow so get the W or WW for regular and high volume feet.
- CeCe Rose Print Sweater: Winter Floral Fabness to brighten your day. Great with blue jeans or a skirt. Layers well under a blazer too. Runs big.
- Club Monaco Jelise Coat: An immaculate and beautifully made grey textured coat that looks as good as a designer piece. Sleek and CHIC. Ladylike. Quite lightweight and long. Better in person.
- AGL Kitten Heel Bootie (Women): A delicate and sleek bordeaux coloured kitten heel with a narrow ankle fit. Ladylike, comfy and classic. Well made. Good on low and regular volume feet. Excellent with dresses.
- Kate Spade New York cotton blend rosette sweater: Tomato red rosettes brighten a gloomy grey day. Sleek, maximal and long. Refined and pretty. Not for apple shapes.
- Furla Furla Elena Saffiano Leather Large Satchel Bag, Stucco Beige: A textured WARM oatmeal bag is another way to brighten a dark Winter outfit. Especially good on platinum blondes because it picks up the colours in their hair. Impeccable quality, and one of the best structured bags of the season. Gold hardware is subtle. Chic.
- Jeffrey Campbell Tiberius Bootie (Women): A low-heeled pewter darling that fits an orthotic. Quite comfy, and a unique colour.
- Zara Faux Fur Coat: I haven't seen this in person yet, but it looks SO fun. Floral Patterned faux fur at its best. Will probably work on petites.
- Reiss Richelle Blue Metallic Metallic Jumper: Rich, sparkly and beautfully made. Excellent for the holidays with an extra pile of bling, but fun to wear daily too. I certainly will wear this during the day! More oversized all over in person, but tapers at the hem for just enough structure. Not scratchy.
