Fab Find: Seychelles “Veronica” T-strap pump

If you fancy the look of vintage design, give these T-straps a whirl. They’re surprisingly comfortable because the toe box is roomy, the leather soft, the heel stable and the footbed fairly cushioning. With a three and a half inch heel, they’re too high to be anything but “sitting shoes” for me, but that might not be the case for you, especially if you work at a desk for most of the day.

They would also make a good occasion shoe, adding a refreshing touch to an existing dress or suit. They look smashing under slacks or skinny jeans and just beautiful with a skirt. The T-strap style also makes for a fabulous year round shoe because they look magical paired with fun textured hose.

Both colours are pretty, but I personally prefer the grey just because it works better with my colouring. At $89.95, it’s not a bad deal for quite a nicely made shoe.

Fab Find: Seychelles “Veronica” T-strap pump

If these had an 1.5″ lopped off the heel I’d be all over them. Oh well.

Very nice. I have similar T-strap Seychelles with a lower heel. Mine are yellow and I’ve been wearing them everywhere.

Some people say the heel is wobbly so be sure to try them on. Love them though! Seychelles has some great shoes.

I first stumbled on Seychelle’s on Anthropologie’s website and have been wondering if they’re worth the money. Now that these have gotten Angie’s approval, I may have to try on a pair =)

I love the retro appeal of these, I think you can wear them in the office and on a date. Very pretty indeed!

One of each for me please! Very FAB indeed!

This is the first pair of shoes in the store, other than boots, that I guinely like and could picture myself wearing.

Hmmm.. that sounds a bit harsh, eh? I don’t mean to say that you don’t have fabulous taste in shoes, just that our tastes run apart in this area.

These Seychelles are fab and the heel looks very wearable for me. The one with the purple looks amazing. I’m going to have to search them out for a try-on!

Wow, what pretty shoes! They are certainly right up my alley. Very tempting.

LOVE these… have no idea how to decide which color I would want.

Angie recommends a 3 1/2 inch heel! Wow! These are indeed spectacular.

Oh my! I have always been a sucker for a T-strap. Wish the heels were a little lower though.

San, you took the words right out of my mouth…I’m a sucker for t-straps, too:)

These are fab and are going on my list straightaway!

I saw someone wearing the black and purple ones on the subway and commented to my fiance about how fabulous they are! How funny. I LOVE the touch of purple!!

No worries, Jenny. Footwear taste levels differ enormously. Glad that you like these!

Shari, I often find heels unstable but found these to be fine. But then again, these aren’t walking shoes – I would be happiest sitting in these darlings.

So, I hate to be the voice of doubt, but isn’t the t-strap sort of leg shortening?

Well, I for one love T-straps and the heel is perfect….VERY cute!!! I like these with skirts and dresses. Thanks Angie!!

That’s a fair question, Mamark. Shoes with low vamps elongate the leg line the best. Shoes with higher vamps tend to do the opposite. But as always the devil is in the detail. These shoes have low vamps regardless of the T-strap. The straps are also dainty and fall below the ankle bone. And on top of that, it’s a high heel. All these factors help elongate the leg line with this particular T-strap styled shoe. I hope that makes sense.

Angie, do you think these shoes would be comfy for wide feet?

I have been trying to ignore this blog post Angie, I’m literally all over these shoes, so much so that Ben is walking around with my credit card so I can avoid temptation. If left I think I would order both colours and **d the postage.

Julie, you crack me up.

Pristine, if you usually wear a W shoe, these won’t work. But if your foot is a little on the wider side and you can wear regular width shoes, size up half a size and give these a try.

That makes sense, Angie. Still to be on the safe side, I think I’d go for the grey unless I were going to wear black tights with these. I am obviously thinking about getting them. :) They have the look of some recent Fluevogs I’ve been ogling, but these are 1/3 the price.

I received my orange Kate Spade bag and it is FAB. Thanks for the rec!

Those are pretty. I like looking at them but I feel that they don’t make my big calves look any smaller.

Mamark, that’s another good point. Keeping the colour of the shoe close to the colour intensity of the skin will lengthen the leg line. And may your new killer bag give you great joy.

Angie, I LOVE these shoes so much! I wonder if I can find something very similar down here…. My only concern is whether they would accentuate my fat calves and cankles? Or is the strap low enough across the foot that this shouldn’t be an issue? Please educate me!

Katie, with shoes like this, you really need to try them on. The strap is positioned well below the ankle bone which helps. The lighter colour might be the way to go though. That way your leg line will look longer (by keeping the colour closer to the shade of your own skin). I hope find something similar down under!

[...] Footwear brands “Seychelles” and “Jump” have my attention because the styles are sweet, playful, retro, and pretty comfortable. I recently posted about the Seychelles Veronica T-strap pump as a Fab Find. [...]
