Hey everyone,

You may remember the thread where I tried some off-the-shoulder tops that were slightly out of my comfort zone (are they 'bardot' style? Not sure I can even call them 'sweetheart' necklines when the necklines are so wide, lol?):

I ended up wearing the black top for Valentine's Day & just wanted to share the look with you all (yes I know I'm REALLY behind on my posting, lol!) In my previous post, I wore it with a wide strapped bra that looked like it was part of the top. Here though, I left my shoulders bare.

I like the tucked in look for date night & the weekends (wore the striped top with some red shorts & felt very chic!), but the fact that I'm reluctant to wear it without the wide straps much makes me wonder if the 'demure bombshell' moniker really fits me or not. I was really drawn to this skirt, for example, & it's not really 'bombshell' at all:

I wanted to dip my toe in the midi trend by trying a length that was just slightly below the knee. I'm wearing it with black tights & wedges, but I'm still not sure if the skirt makes my legs look too short/ disproportionate. I've also added my dressing room try-on outfit so you can see what the skirt looks like with bare legs & flats instead. Thoughts?)

(PS - I'm also thinking about wearing this skirt to a public speaking event for work - would it be appropriate? Details in the thread below:

Thank you for your help!
