Honestly, if it weren't for Angie's outfit formula posts, I'd wear the same boring combinations day after day.  This outfit started with the black flare jeans - new a few months ago and not yet worn. (way outside of my comfort zone - I am SO boring now in my dotage, lol)  Then it's deciding which boots to wear that won't contribute to a  western vibe with these flared jeans (apologies and respect  to those who like it: I don't , on me ) .  Then fumbling through a couple of sweaters before I remembered the grey/brown idea and landed on this gem which I've had for probably 10 years and don't wear much.  It's cropped and has a cute zipper on one side ,but  until now, I almost never felt comfortable wearing it.  Why did I buy it then?  Good question . It was spendy too, but I'm glad it survived my aggressive closet edits as it's remarkably fresh looking and unpilled for a 10 year old wool/cashmere sweater.

The coat is the perfect weight for over a sweater in mild temps (it's 0C here today) when running errands and doing some holiday shopping. Am I the only one here who hates  feeling hot?

I really liked this look - and hope I can find occasions to wear these jeans more often.

Comments always welcome!
