What's your favorite weekend look?

I am looking for a new look for weekends. My current is denim pencil skirt, tee and long cardigan. (Tights and scarf in winter, long necklace and sandals or flats in warm weather)

Please inspire me with yours!

I am super loving my boyfriend jeans these days. They seem to go with everything!

Shoes: pumps, booties, boat shoes, Cons.
Tops: striped bateau top, button-front, tee, slouchy sweater

Saturday mornings at about 7:30, the dog and I go out for a latte and giant buttermilk biscuit with jam and butter. I usually wear a jersey knit tunic tee, jersey pants (flared or skinny), patterned chunky sweater, chucks and a puffer coat (length depends on how cold it is).

Midday I'll change into more tailored but still casual clothes: brightly colored cotton twill bottoms (if a skirt, an A-line one), layering tee or button-down shirt (floral, plaid), sweater, chucks/flats/boots. Or something like a tunic dress in a floaty material and leggings.

At the moment: my flannel skinnies with an oversized sweater. (Basically amped up PJs!)

Also: plaid flannel shirt with jeans and docs, sweater dress + leggings, flowy shorts + tee, sundresses (the last two in summer, obviously).

I actually don't love wearing my BF jeans on weekends because they require a belt and I don't like to wear belts on weekend, apparently.

Angie, I would wear jeans, if they were flattering and were dark wash. I don't find skinny jeans flattering on my figure, as my hips and thighs (thighs in particular) are significantly wider than my knees and calves, creating that ice cream cone shape.

thanks everyone for sharing your photos so far. I am trying to attach one of me in my typical denim skirt/cardigan/sandals combo. This was a spring look. In colder weather I'd wear tights and boots or tights and clogs, and a big scarf.

In FL I was really enjoying a drapey dress with belt and gladiator sandals. Or conversely a drapey tee with BF shorts or aline or cargo skirt with same gladiators.

I bring out my moto jackets on the weekends, so it's paired with either a slim skirt (not pencil) and a fitted bright Tee or with a sweater tunic top and leggings. In spring or fall I wear them with tall boots and no tights and in the summer I loose the moto jacket and wear the skirt and Tee outfit with ballet flats or low heeled booties. I'm not a big denim person right now, but when I was, I'd wear a bootcut or straight leg dark wash with a tee and some low heeled footwear.

When I first read your post, I thought I wouldn't be able to respond as I thought I was in something different each weekend, but turns out this is pretty much my uniform when I'm not doing anything special!

My favourite weekend looks are the same as my weekday looks because I work from home. So most of my WIW posts are weekend looks!

In cooler weather:

Jeans (either slouchy skinny, BF, skinny, or bootcut -- take your pick!)
with either a pullover or a shirt/ top with a blazer.
Boots - either tall (in bad weather, with jeans tucked in) or short booties (in better weather).

Not very original, I know!

In warmer weather:

Bermuda shorts or a skirt
Top
Sandals

Even LESS original. Sigh....

Actually I often am most dressed up on weekends because we go to church, out to dinner, etc. If at home I'm probably wearing:
Cold weather: some sort of jeans with a sweater layered over silk underwear or a tank, short boots and smart wool socks. A variation would be a lighter weight knit under a jacket worn indoors.
Warm weather: denim clam digggers (narrow knee length shorts), loose woven top with a light weight jacket available for air conditioning, flats or sandals.

I spend most weekends in my gear before and after skiing, but when going out of the house for shopping I tend to a western/ethnic vibe

patterned ethnic slacks with a black topper
jeans with a ethnic pattern belt and cloth cuff cowboyish boots
jeans with a ethnic pattern shirt with grey cowboyish boots

I change my style alot on weekends.

date night is a little more sexy but we usually stay in anyway

My biggest challenge to dress is meeting the ladies out for drinks friday night. my weekend looks are not dressy enough and work outfits just seem to belong at work, although I am trying to change my attitude on that

I am a big fan of jeans. My weekend outfits are very similar to my work outfits. Jeans, boots, a knit top, scarf and blazer. Sometimes I swap out the blazer for a cardigan or the jeans from bootcuts to skinnies but the essence of the formula is the same.
