WIW 2/19: Blue and Gray with my Boyfriends

I had the day off so I did some running around town and had lunch with one friend and dinner with another. Big fun! This outfit is a combination of two looks I really liked on Pinterest, but I couldn't resist adding yet another one of my fab silk scarves from Cambodia.

Jeans: GAP sexy boyfriends
Leopard cardi: JC Penney
Gray lightweight sweatshirt: American Apparent
Nude shooties: Seychelles
Scarf: silk-weaving village in Cambodia
Blue satchel: B Makowsky via Marshall's
Leather jacket: consignment

I was really happy in this outfit. And it was so comfy that I was able to shed the cardi and scarf, change my shoes, and wear it for tap class this evening! What do you all think?

I'm so glad you got a chance to wear jeans ON A WEEKDAY! This is a polished take on the bf jeans look. And no question, you are a master-level Pinterest Copy-Catter.

However life feels a little empty not seeing this with leopard pumps. You do have leopard pumps don't you?

(JK -- I totally get how booties work better for the day's agenda!)

I love the look, and it seems confortable, that is always a plus. You did well adding the scarf, it's beautiful and adds polish to the outfit.

By the way, are these jeans sold as BF jeans? I ask because I do not know if this style is called that way in Spain (I haven't shopped for real jeans in years!). To me, your jeans look like a relaxed fit or jeans that are simply not tight, I like them. Other BF jeans I have seen online seem much more baggy and saggy - I am not fond of those.

I absolutely adore this! Every detail is a pleasure to look at. Scarf gives it infinite depth, to which the printed cardi responds beautifully. Boots booked your hair. All pieces are on the light side of denim, grey, grey-blue, beige, a beautiful palette of neutrals as supporting act for the scarf. That scarf btw illuminates your skin. Then the topped version is fun while still in line with the outfit's subtleness. Well played!

I love how you took those inspiration looks and modified them to make it your own.
The addition of the scarf is great, as are the finishing touches of leather jacket and blue bag.

Wowie mama, I love this and the fact that it's somewhat monochromatic only adds to the appeal for me. You do chic-sporty-casual like no other! Adore that scarf, too. It's gorgeous and you drape it so fabulously.

It's irrelevant but kind of funny, hubs and I saw Hitchcock's Vertigo on DVD very recently and in the added interviews they went into a really long spiel about the costuming (Kim Novak's two characters' clothing choices were extremely evocative and central in importance). Novak balked at wearing a gray suit because she thought she would disappear in it as a platinum blonde, but that was Hitchcock's intention--she was supposed to be this hazy dream figure, wispy and ethereal. I do think blondes can wear grey with panache! LOL, I digress but grey is another of your friends so no worries there at all!

Excellent. I was looking at the pics and thinking I preferred some elements of each and then got to your interpretation and it incorporated the looser fit and blue bag of 1 with the animal print of 2 - exactly what I liked about each. The silk scarf is a fab addition.
