WIW 1/19: In Style copycat and OMG bra shopping!

I put this look from In Style magazine on my Pinterest page ages ago, and today the weather and agenda finally cooperated so I could take it out of the house. Super happy with all of it, and how fun is it that I had all the pieces?

Boyfriend jeans: GAP
Red blazer: H&M
Blue oxford shirt: Target boys' dept
Necklace: consignment
Leopard pumps: Anne Klein
Blue "reptile" clutch: Veronica M (local boutique)
"Gold" watch: Target

After I took my stylish self to the hair salon this morning I stopped off at a fancy bra shop for a fitting, and all I can say is "where have these bras been all my life?" I bought a great black lace number for every day, a nude strapless for those awkward necklines, and THIS awesome navy number complete with hardware! SO FUN!!!

Seriously love the In Style look and you replicated it perfectly! I wonder if this would work with that GAP tartan blazer everyone has? I don't have a red blazer.....

Love the navy bra, that is so cool! Are the hardware and extra straps for extra lift, or is it just for fun?

Your copycat is great! I just was browsing this issue at the gym and saw that same outfit but not the copycat possibilities. I want to remember this with summer leopard sandals.

The bra is the Marlies Dekker Calder Night Blue and yes, it was pretty pricey -- I paid $115 plus tax. It's easy to get into because all those straps in the back just stay in place and you go in head-first, if you know what I mean. Basically like a racer back. The lady at the store suggested wearing it with a low-back tee, which I am anxious to try!

Well you've got it down. Great interpretation. It flatters your delicate legs. I like the effect of cuffing with the shirt's cuff over the blazer's.

Good for you for the bras! The one you show is very strange. How does it feel to be wearing it? Isn't it a bit complicated to put on? Just curious!

Krishni, believe it or not the "heavy metal" bra feels great on! As I said, functionally it's the same as a racer-back, and the little chains and buckles are super-lightweight and smooth so you don't even notice them on your skin. And I think it makes "the girls" look great so I was super happy wearing it all day.
