I went to the city for the first time since February to do some shopping. (Note: In Australia things have opened up. We have a high testing rate and a very low infection rate - zero cases in my State today.)

Pics 1-4 show what I wore. I wore the mask on the bus only. Masks aren’t required or recommended here but as a precaution I wear one whenever I can’t maintain physical distance eg the bus, hairdresser.

The shopping experience was quite a change. Designated seats on the bus. One way entry and exits to most stores. At Uniqlo they took my temperature. Lots of distancing signs. Loudspeaker announcements encouraging customers to keep their distance and to download the government contact tracing app to help protect other customers and staff (I already have). Designated standing points for service. All customer service points wrapped in Perspex shields.

I was on a mission to buy underwear. (Note to self: don’t procrastinate about buying new underwear, you never know when a lockdown is coming.) But I also visited a few of my favourite retailers, in an effort to support them. Everybody was having sales. Sign of the times. I bought a couple of nice things from Cue, my favourite Australian retailer. (Waving to the lovely Bijou.)

Happy weekend to all
