So many gorgeous, interesting, and inspirational outfits! I still don't have a collection of favourites to share, but I'm enjoying this thread so much!

Here are my faves. Lots of color and print! Lots of dresses, too. Only one from a cooler month. . . I am clueless when it comes to cold-weather dressing!

Angie, it must have been THIS one...

Alicat, you are rockin' the orange! I LOVE it! I think #2 is my fav, but your #8 (those booties - that COAT) is a tie...

Thanks, Jenava, I love me some orange!!! So nice to get a compliment from a style icon like you!

WOW. So many great looks and some I missed in their original posts so this is the most fun post to watch (up there with the Challenges for fun)
Here are mine (I also had trouble editing), some faves for the memories mostly.

2. Nov: Pleats and Moto
Dress looks (kind of my go to formula)
3. Aug: White blazer, bare legs and nude shoes!
4. Oct: Fall staples (Suzi Chinn dress from NAS returned and repurchased at Rack for $100 less)

7. Nov: Nude boots, skinnies, Leopard coat, medallion necklace, short over long
8. Christmas Eve: textures, animal print, and Secret Santa scarf

10. Nov New Docs, Vintage coat, Kate Spade medallion, Great weather
11. Last but not least my Lemming Look

Sorry to be a photo hog. I do see a pattern here, so must challenge myself to branch out. I think I'll try to take some ideas from all the other great outfits here. Maybe even some pattern mixing. Yikes.

Alicat - right back at you...style icon. (-:

Jj - each look is more fabulous than than the last! It looks like you really evolved your style this year. FUN! I'm gonna say #7 is my favorite, but I think 3, 5, 8 and 9 also hit it out of the park. I can really see your style coming through...warm neutrals, metallics, a dressy-casual vibe.

Jeneva you are too kind! I am totally blown away by your 1st outfit with the leather skirt! Also loving the skirt in 5 and the dreamy dress in 10. You have some varied, but all unique looks.

What a fun thread! I love looking at everybody's pics, and I remembered being wow'ed by many when they were first posted!

I just looked though my own pics from the past year, and I can definitely see progress. My favorite outfits are from only the past couple months.

The first 3 are from photos I took for the bike contest. But they feature my favorite clothes, a cognac leather jacket, my eggplant oxfords, the silk pb blouse. I always feel fab in these, and I had a lot of fun biking around town shooting photos with my husband that night!

The last one is a Maggy London dress and new boots, both new style directions (a winter dress is new, boots are new to me.....)

It's been quite a year when I look at my pics from the beginning of the year!
Off to look at everyone's pictures!

My favorites from this year are those outfits that pulled me out of my comfort zone:

#1 - skinnies
#2 - fur vest
#3 - bright color and skinnies
#4 - booties with a dress

And #5-6 are a couple more looks that just feels like "me." But now that I have my sable microfishnets I would wear them in #5 instead of the dark hose. (I'm still improving! )

What a fun thread. I am really enjoying everybody's recap.

Here are mine:

#1-Hinge Peacock Print Blouse
I raced out to purchase this blouse following Angie's gentle push. And it quickly became a favorite.

#2-Whimsical T
This t-shirt just makes me smile.

#3-YLF NYC
My YLF outfit in NYC during fashion week.

#4-The Foot
Returning to work after foot surgery, I tried really hard to NOT wear comfy sweats just because I had surgery.

#5-More Foot
Still recovering from foot surgery, the red poncho was a purchase during the YLF NYC meet-up. Wearing it makes me smile remembering a very fun day.

HOLY DOODLE!!! WHAT A GREAT LOOKING GROUP OF LADIES!!!

I don't feel I've been posting enough WIW yet to pick any favourites but I'm enjoying the heck out of seeing all of yours!

Helen, I look forward to seeing more of your style next year!

Jenava, another KILLER outfit, but not the one. You wore thong sandals that were high on the ankle and the rest of the outfit was dark - black or blue. Does it sound familiar?

Ali, all just gorgeous and very alluring - and of course, KILLER! I hereby crown you Queen Turquoise & Coral. #3 and #8 are my faves!

Jj, another superb collection of outfits! #4, #7 and #8 are Rocking KILLER and my best from your selection. It's been great to see your style evolve to what feels like you

Isis, you have a sensational bob! I absolutely love #1 and #4. Totally KILLER Ms. Cycle Chic

Everyone looks fantastic. I would love to join in but I didn't take many style photos this year. My year was one of re evaluating my personal style preferences. For instance, since I am retired I have to take a pass on some of the styles I love and love them on others rather than buy clothes for an imanginary life. Hopefully I will have some pictures to share next year at this time. I feel a change coming on!
All of you are looking great!

San, I look forward to more outfit posts next year.

Shannon, post your faves now! No buts.

Nancy, you win style evolution of the year. STUNNING! All k-word worthy outfits. #1, #2 and #4 are my faves! Such elegant sophistication with just the right amount of fun.

Lisa, you are Queen Blue, but I hereby crown you Queen Best Positive Attitude too. You rocked your sneakers and held your head (and foot) up high like nobody's business. I LOVE all your outfits! All KILLER, with #1, #2 and #3 at the top of my list. I really adore how your great outfits reflect how great you are on the inside

Awesome thread!!! I'm loving everyone's pics. There are too many for me to comment individually but I love seeing each person's style come through.

These are my favorites from 2011:

1) this is a favorite NOT because of any style, but because it reminds me of how far I've come in a year

2) love how the colors mix

3) like the brown and magenta together

4) my trenchcoat!! love it!

5) gotta love leather... this jacket is a favorite of mine, I feel great wearing it

6) my Parisian Chic copycat

7) new H&M blazer and expansion of my style into blazers

Brenda, you also win stye evolution of the year! WOW!! It's such a pleasure to behold!! #3, #4 and #6 are rocking KILLER and my best. Well done, and continue to have fun with fashion

I don't have pictures of my favorite outfit since I just started photographing them again after a long break. But I've really enjoyed looking through this thread and seeing everyone's fabulous style. I love it!

Uh oh...I think Angie yelled at me (lol)! Because I don't have my photos stored on my home computer, I'll just have to link to the WIW posts that have my favourites. Here goes:

Because it was my first jump into a kind of retro silhouette
http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....ack-yellow

Because I love this dress, it felt vintage and I so enjoyed the frenzied posts with Angie
http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....ut-to-play

Again, this outfit had a bit of a retro feel to it (plus it's super comfortable)
http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....rays-blues

Because it's out of my comfort zone in terms of tucking and "exposing" myself
http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....ked-who-me

Crazy in love with these shoes and outfits that a few short weeks/months ago that were outside my comfort zone seem to be BECOMING my comfort zone
http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....s-squeeeee

I felt good in this outfit - comfortable, chic and a walking advertisement for Gap
http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....wboy-boots

Okay here goes. Some I've had to recreate this morning. I've put on about 6 kilos this year with work and not enough time to exercise (excuses excuses I know) so some of my clothes are feeling a bit snug.
1. This is not my usual style but I get heaps of compliments when I dress like this and I like how it looks kind of vintage and its out of my comfort zone by a mile.
2.My colbolt blue pants that I have wanted for ages. My first foray into real colour this year. I also love the scarf which my son bought me.
3. I think the jacket may be a bit big for me but I love the flannel texture plus the work shirt look with boots.
4. My go to look. If I am in doubt about what to wear flared jeans and a shirt and jacket with chunky shoes always seems to work.
5. One of my copy cat outfits. I loved the original picture so was so pleased when I actually found the pieces to put the look together.
I just wish I had documented my clothes this year then I would be able to look through and pick the best....but lack of time and able photographers. My 6 year old has taken all of these ones...so kudos to him.
Happy New Year everyone

Gap should be so lucky to have you as their model, Shannon :). Thanks for posting your choices! I rate them all as KILLER. #1, #3 and #6 are fantastic and great fall back outfits for any occasion, really. #2 whacks it out of the ball park like nothing you have ever posted! #4 was a style epiphany, and #5 is too sensational for words I can barely stand it.

This has been such a fun thread to read and look at. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to doccument our favs here Angie. You knew we would learn something about ourselves and our style by doing this exercise didn't you?! You're a sneaky one!
Here's my lot!

Ana, I hope that we see more of your outfits in 2012!

Sally, I wish I could see your outfits more clearly so that I could do them justice, but do appreciate that you posted. #3 is my best and KILLER for sure

Claire! A sensational outfit assortment and it's hard for me to pick a fave. But I'm going with #5 and know that swapping out that topper for your new pleather jacket will be just as KILLER.

This is SUCH a fabulous, fun, happy thread! It makes me smile so hard to see all of you here. I am not at my home computer but will be posting as soon as I am able to join in!

Every one of you looks gorgeous! And it's so fascinating to see the style evolutions.

Such a fun thread! I've missed a bunch of these outfit posts it seems so i'm happy i get to see the best of the best here now!

And omg, LISA I am so in love with that purple blazer + cat t on you!! I'm so glad i got to see it because i missed it the first time you posted it. So. Amazing.

Ok here's a few of my favorites from this year! Obviously i'm very attached to my black faux leather jacket...workhorrrssseeee!

Love this thread Angie I'm only at the beginning of my style revolution so I don't have many great pics to post yet, but look out 2012! Here are a couple, and I added a "way before" and "just before YLF" pics at #4 and #5, so I think I've come a long in a few short months.

ETA Thanks so much Angie and YLFers for making me look so much better!

Sorry Angie...I suppose my new years resolution should be to document my outfits more often and get feedback so I have a collection to post. I think I will do some research on how to use my camera more effectively on my own so I dont have to rely on small children to take my photos.
Anyway its great to see everyone's outfits and it has inspired me for 2012.

Post when you can, Suz.

Nicole, you have KILLER style. And #1 and #5 are my faves of your selection. I just love to see you wear short *flared* skirts! Few people do that these days because it's all short and tight. Your flares are a breath of fresh air! You posted a very preppy outfit, which was also one of faves for your style year. I hereby crown you Queen Pose. I enjoy your poses and facial expressions very much.

Soobee! You win the next style evolution award of the year! I am much impressed with your motivation and excellent attitude. You have style flair *for sure* and it's already coming through in your outfits. Very exciting! Look at you in those clams and fabulous button downs. And I love seeing your pretty legs in those shorter cropped pants. Rock on!

No problem, Sally. We hope to see more of you on the forum in 2012! I like your new short bob

These are such fun! I am pleased to report that in looking at my year of outfit photos, I loved almost everything I wore. Here are five that stand out, in no particular order:

1. My Phoebe copycat with fur vest, jeans, and Hinge silk blouse. I felt like a million bucks in this!

2. I found this amazing Kate Spade jacket on deep discount while shopping with Angie and the YLF gang in Old Town Pasadena. Angie posted that she dreamed I wore it with my Halogen leather skirt, so I had to make her dream come true! I loved this outfit, which also included my fave Emerson Made "queen bee" silk blouse.

3. My version of the "Parisian Style" formula. Loved everything about this.

4. Bella copycat with red jeans, chambray shirt, and black moto jacket with colorful scarf and bag. Even though copied it, it felt very "me." Plus copying my YLF friends is just a blast.

5. This summer's "RGB" work look with blue pencil skirt, green thrifted blouse, white jacket, and red bag and shoes.

6. Honorable mention: Desigual party dress that Hubby bought for me off the mannequin in Las Vegas between the wedding and reception, which I then wore to the reception! Big fun!!

This is such an inspiring thread!

Alicat, you are a stunner in dresses!

JJsloane, I love seeing how you layer things. Great outfits.

Isis, that dress in #4 is wonderful.

Nancylee, all of your outfits are beautiful, but I seriously cover the dotty scarf in your #4.

Lisa, you're a trooper! The kitty shirt is so cute. It makes me smile too

Brenda, I can't pick a favorite! I like your new trench a lot too and that leather jacket is awesome.

Shannon, I like how you're embracing a retro style. Your party dress ensemble is gorgeous!

Sally, your 6 yo is a better photographer than my 10 yo, who gets REALLY grumpy when I ask him to take a picture. A tripod and a remote...#1 is my favorite!

Claire, great picks, all of them. I LOVE that houndstooth dress though. When you tire of it, send it to me.

Nicole, you are an inspiration. Each outfit is better than the last.

Soobee, I see you are on Team Stripe I adore your necklaces too. So pretty!

MaryK, each outfit is a feast for the eyes. Gorgeous.
