I’ve been at work less than an hour and have already had three people comment on how much they love my shoes!!! (take THAT co-worker who thought they were hideous!).
Anyway…on to the outfit. I have to give a huge shout out to Rita (modgirl) for her knowledge of belts. Rita has suggested to me a few times to ramp up my outfit with a belt – but I’ve always been belt shy. Until yesterday. Yesterday I wore a belt with my dress and many commented positively on this. So today wore a belt again. This time a skinny red one…outside my jacket…who would have thunk! Am wearing a simple black ponte knit sheath dress with my Calvin Klein animal print boy blazer (which was featured on an outfit on WNTW this week), red leather belt, grey tights and my adorable, lovable, comfortable All Black fish bow Mary-Jane pumps. I ordered these Monday afternoon and couldn’t believe it when they arrived last night (Wednesday). That Amazon is amazing! Angie was right about sizing up a full size as I normally wear a 6 and these are a 7 and fit perfectly. I did have to put a very thin insole in the shoe but not for comfort sake – the leather on the foot bed is very slippery and I personally don’t like the feel of it. I’m not sure these are the right tights for this outfit and with these shoes, but I was so eager to wear them today I just had to make what was in the dresser drawer work!
So – what’s the verdict? And please feel free to provide me with styling suggestions for these shoes – I plan on wearing the heck out of them!
