Holiday Edition: Skinnies and Sweater - Take 2

After a so-so of an outfit yesterday, I decided to play with different bottoms as suggested by gryffin and see if my happiness factor was higher with any of these. These outfits are for casual holiday lunch/dinner with family (either christmas or new year).

Pic 1/2 - With faux leather panel tube skirt (with bigger black earrings to bookend my shoes. Are they a bit too much?)
Pic 3 - With my other lighter green jeans. This fits way better than the jeggings from yesterday. I would wear silver earrings with this.
Pic 4 - With white jeans (and silver earrings)

Pic 6/7 - Silver earrings and sandals

I have included my clutches in these outfit pics (after Rae gave me the idea to let the kids carry a back pack). My happiness factor was definitely higher with all of these! Mainly because the bottoms I chose fit perfectly! So what do you all think? Which one do you think works the best? Suggestions for improvement are always welcome! Thanks for stopping by!

OMG TDF Neel!! I adore #1. The skirt, clutch, shoes, earrings, really pop the embellished top but they let you shine!! Wow, sexy elegant girl!! I know you were thinking you did not want to show too much skin but you look divine!! I also really like the outfit with the white pants too. Your original outfit is also very pretty and i like it with the clutch. There is just less contrast in the color value so it's a softer look. My picks #1 for dressiest parties, #4 for more casual dressy. You look fantastic!!

As to the outfits, I like them all except for the one with too big pants. The sweater is very versatile and makes just about anything look good, as do you.

Glad you had the green jeans handy as I really liked Take 1 -- but as you said the fit issues were problematic with the sweater length.

Three great options + delegating the children's stuff to the children = perfect solution!

I'd probably be tempted to wear the skirt version if you end up doing dinner and one of the others if it's lunch.

ps I'm the wrong person to ask about big earrings as I'm all over those these days; I say those in #2 with the skirt for sure, and the silver with the pant-based outfits as planned.

Wow - I liked the green pants version, but I love both the skirt and the white jeans. Brilliant! I would suggest the white jeans for lunch and the skirt for dinner - both look gorgeous with the jeans version being just a tad more casual.

I am so glad you all liked the outfits. I don't feel fab about an outfit until I get the ylf approval! Thank you for your sweet comments! I think like many of you suggested I would keep the jeans outfit for lunch and the skirt outfit for dinner. Although the reverse might make more sense with regards to mosquitoes! Lol!

I really love the skirt outfit. Really really. Also the white jeans. Still like the original, but I hear you on how a bad fit can ruin it. Wear the one(s) that will make you comfortable and happy. And strut those clutch bags!

Oh Neel - you look absolutely gorgeous! I love #s 1, 3, and 4! I didn't see your original post about this outfit - but you have really nailed it with these 3 looks! And, your clutches! - there are 2 different ones, right? They are just so stinkin' cool! You've got fab legs - so I'd definitely be pairing the top with the skirt. And I really love it with the white and green as well. Sandals are very festive and fun! As far as those big black earrings go - I'd probably go with something a little more sedate myself because I would rather the sparkly gray top, clutch, and shoes be the stars - but that's just me! They are super cool and I'm sure that if you love them, then you can wear them with confidence and you'd look perfect! Thanks for sharing your photos - I have a gray top with some kind of matted sequins on the front and I'd never thought of pairing it with white or with a colored pant! Great ideas!

ETA: Marley - yep those are two different clutches. The darker gray one seemed to go better with the white jeans and black skirt, so I chose that. Although its a wee bit tiny for my taste.

Whoa, how did I almost miss this? Sheesh, woman, you look sensational! I adore all of these but feel special love for #1 and #4. Those are just spectacular. I think the one with the green jeans is also very fun and would be great for a slightly more casual/ festive occasion.

Beautiful looks, Neel! I'm partial to the skirt with the black earrings, and the white jeans with the sparkly earrings, but all are gorgeous and practical.

And two thumbs up for letting the kids participate by carrying a backpack!
