Not working today - The Province put us back on closure so laid off once again - UGH. My plan for the day was to find some fresh greenery to dress up my front door, planters and boxes, and to run into the drugstore for a few things . Lovely sunny day here - about -5ish and with a dusting of snow.
I bought this tunic in the summer - don't even ask - and was swayed by it's "iconic" status, according to the brand's site and the sales person I bought it from. It was shown ( and I bought) with flowy wide legged black pants and flatform sneakers, and I somehow decided I should buy it. Well, the sweater was WAY too hot and voluminous to wear until now, but now the colour is seasonally off, and it was not exactly cheap (find only shows US $ which looks fine. Cdn $ are not fine - lol). Anyways, it has sat taking up precious drawer space for months, so I thought I better get some wear out of it. I don't love it, and never would buy it now , but I own it, so .....
This is more of the kind of outfit I wore casually in the 90's: tunic sweater, leggings, boots, long oversize jacket. The outfit worked well for the errands I had, and I felt comfortable, (i.e. not too hot) and mobile. Wore a tuque because I have hair growth/scalp serum in my hair today My hair is a project right now: scalp detox scrub once a week, new scalp massager device from Sephora , and nightly serum application . We'll see what happens !
I'd give this a 6/10. But somedays - I just can't summon up the desire to make it better. Any ideas on how to wear this tunic sweater thing would be greatly appreciated. I know a wide leg pant would make it far more modern - but no one is going to be wearing wide leg anything around here now for months .
