Lisa - I didn't have time to read all the comments. I really liked the outfit. I have worn things that oversized but I personally need to ground the long line. If you happen to have a long scarf - apricot, black - green - long fringed ends a plus - I think the vertical integrity would transform this look. Also a long pendant - I'm getting tassel vibes - not sure how it would look with the wide funnel neck (which btw looks stunning on you). Dressier long jackets would amp this up. Love the boots/leggings combo - but those boots are more "me" than you usually wear. Emerson Fry did a whole article on this look and the "why" but I think it's been removed. Ashame as it was an excellent read. But if you are not comfortable then onto next, of course. I love the beanie on you. very stunning despite the reason and very flattering. Also I think oversized tunics are easier to wear with greater depth of color as it visually minimizes the voume.but you might play with adding some vertical interest before you toss it. I did that once and it actually became one of my favorite outfits. You never know!
Hi gryffin - you have such a depth of knowledge about stying that never fails to amaze me. All of a sudden I can see how a vertical something over the sweater would absolutely reign in the visual volume. What a fantastic idea! This is the best advice yet . Thank you SO much for chiming in today ! Regarding the boots - yes, I intentionally sought out a chunkier high-shaft Chelsea boot . I had a really great pair a couple of years ago, but they went missing during my move. I like the look !
Lisa - this is so my look. Not necessarily yours. So I’ve played and experimented. Something long with good drape. Just for kicks throw the McQ on. It won’t reinforce the apricot but you can see with the length whether this salvaged the sweater. It’s a very good color for
you. The neckline is very becoming. It would be a shame to let it go without playing with it. What other toppers? Pull
out both short, short asymmetric, long. You’d be surprised what works
sometimes.
PS I want those boots!!!

Okay, I see there has been controversy about the tunic but I just want to say that I love the boots and the toque is brilliant on you!!! SO cute and fresh. I hear you on short hair and hats, boy do I ever -- my toques now cover my hair, but you know, it is what it is, right -- and in this case, it totally works!
