If you live in the US, we hope you had a fabulous Thanksgiving. As the long holiday weekend continues, retailers are ramping up for the big gift-giving season. Sales no longer begin the day after Christmas. These days, holiday sales begin at the beginning of November. Of course, items are on deeper discount after Christmas, but by then the selections are picked over and you might not find items in your preferred size and colour. It’s a trade-off.
On that note, here’s my roundup of sale items. Be sure to browse all the size and colour options. Read the fab reviews too. Feel free to suggest fab stuff that’s on sale in the comments section with a link to the item.
- Cole Haan Go-To Leather Tote: For Team Jewel Tones. A dressier tote that zips up to keep the the contents dry, and comes in magenta.
- Ecco Sculpted LX 35 Patent Bootie (Women): This boot is well-made, comfy, and looks robust on the foot. Room in the toe box for a wider foot. Gorgeous sculpted round heel. Comes in bone and regular black. The bone has a statement black sole.
- Lauren Ralph Lauren Hooded Puffer Jacket: Tailored Puffer Fabness. Warm, waist-defining, pretty sleek, and comes in neutrals.
- Nic + Zoe MIsty Ikat Sweater: A sweater that complements silver hair, and works well on a cool-toned complexion.
- Komarov Asymmetric Dress: V-neck teal dresses that aren't too short and skimpy are hard to find. Here's an option with a romantic and boho-lite vibe. Works well on a curvier figure. My size US14 curvy client absolutely rocked this dress. Might need to size up.
- Karen Kane Puff Shoulder Sweater: A pretty pullover that makes a fantastic statement. Gorgeous sleeves. The welt allows you to adjust the length. Pull up the welt and wear the pullover at a shorter length with a skirt or wide leg pants.
- L'AGENCE Dani Silk Button-Up Blouse: Olive Paisley Silk Shirt Fabness. Works well UN-tucked. Luxe, dressy and feels heavenly against the skin.
- Gentle Souls By Kenneth Cole Dionne Pointed Toe Pump (Women): Surprisingly comfortable heels if you can manage their height. Cushioning footbed, toe box has a bit of room, and the snakeskin pattern has a metallic sheen. Comes in cream and black.
- Sanctuary Print Metallic Top: Boho-Lite Blouse Fabness. You can adjust the shape of the V-neck by opening or fastening the buttons. Pretty sleeves.

Plenty of room for long toes. Lightweight. I nabbed the cream for $62.
- J.Crew Gwyneth slip skirt in watercolor floral: A slip skirt that's cut on the bias and does not cling in an odd way over the hips and thighs. It glides over curves, and comes in several solid colours.
- J.Crew Collection full-length tiered skirt in floral chiffon: Romantic Dressy Floral Skirt Fabness. High swoosh factor. Dress it up or down, and be the belle of the ball. Comes in black.
- J.Crew Cashmere shrunken V-neck sweater: A short V-necked sweater in an elegant and modern fluid fit that works fably over skirts and wide pants. Looked great on a shorter waist. Comes in many colours.
- Gentle Souls By Kenneth Cole Ella Stretch Knee High Boot (Women): Knee-high boots for Team Narrow Calves. Comfy, cushioning, tailored, reasonably dressy, and comes in black.
- Sam Edelman Wool Blend Notch Collar Coat: The front sleeve button detailing on this coat is very clever, and packs a punch. The buttons make an attractive statement too. Fluidly tailored, and comes in neutrals and fuchsia.
- Vince Raglan Sleeve Wool & Cashmere Sweater: V-Neck Rose Pink Sweater Fabness. Size down.
- AllSaints Double Prong Belt: A warm olive belt with gold hardware is a rare find, and here is one option.
- Paul Green Rendi Pointed Toe Pump (Women): These pumps can work on wider feet, and accommodate bunions if they don't cut across your feet uncomfortably. Comes in many neutrals.
- Bernardo Tailored Wool Blend Coat: I have this coat in navy from last year's NAS, and it was a favourite of the season. It's longer on me than on the model and fably dramatic. It drapes beautifully in a fluid way, and looks clean and sharp. Elongating. I wear it with almost everything! Comes in charcoal and Taupe this year. Elegant.
- AGL Stefy Block Heel Pointed Toe Pump (Women): This is often my first suggestion for clients when they are looking for tan heeled pumps. Very stable, soft, and reasonably comfy as far as pumps go. It can work with bunions too. It has a wider toe box than you expect. Visually, extremely sharp on the foot. Made in Italy. Comes in black.
- Boden Effie Sparkle Stripe Sweater: This metallic striped darling comes in four colours and works well UN-tucked, tucked, and layered under a jacket. Versatile and casually festive. Sleek, and not overly clingy. Luxe and lovely.
- J.Crew Calf hair belt in leopard: A fab little classic belt for Team Gold Hardware that comes in neutral solids and metallics.
- J.Crew Feather-trim long-sleeve shirt in stripe: A regular striped tee that transforms into a festive piece with feathered sleeve trim, which is DETACHABLE. Easy to launder. Comes in solids.
- J.Crew Tie-back cable-knit sweater: These chunky cabled knits feel like cotton, yet are a lambswool polyamide blend. Remarkable! Short, cheeky, and look fabulous with skirts. They have a fun black back ribbon tie too. Size down.
- Boden Embellished Flower Necklace: Vintage Floral Necklace Fabness. Comes in blue and red.
- Vionic Sellah Square Toe Loafer (Women): These loafers are favourites with clients because they're very comfy, reasonably dressy, and look sharp. Versatile! Supportive and can work well with bunions. Comes in solid toffee and black.
- COACH Cara Soft Pebble Leather Crossbody Satchel: I nabbed this on super sale to replace a travel bag that bit the dust. GORGEOUS. Impeccable quality, very roomy, and soft. It slouches when worn as a crossbody for a more relaxed luxe vibe. Comes in other neutrals.
- J.Crew Garçon shirt in plaid cotton poplin: Red Tartan Christmas Fabness. The red is less bright in person, and the fabric is a spectacular crisp and sharp cotton. Gorgeous quality. Size down one size. Layers well under roomy sweatshirts and sweaters.
