I like to wear florals in Winter because it’s less expected than wearing them in the Spring and Summer. I’ve also found that Winter florals can liven up a cold weather wardrobe. Here’s a selection of fun floral pieces, some of which have been winners on clients. I threw in some interesting boot options too.
- Ted Baker Timila Floral Printed Jacket: A dressy blazer with a beautiful floral lining. Dress it up for work and cocktail, or dress it down with jeans. It has sharp shoulders but works well on broad-shouldered ladies too.
- Ted Baker Blucon Technicolor Bloom Large Tote: A casual tote that might make you smile.
- Ted Baker Staci Twilight Floral Sweater: A V-neck floral pullover with great drape. Crisply jewel-toned. Good with trousers and a pencil skirt.
- FELICITY & COCO Print Scuba Midi Dress (Regular & Petite) (Nordstrom Exclusive): A very fitted floral dress. The thick fabrication goes a long way to smoothing out the contour of your silhouette. Not very stretchy, but still soft and comfy. Too long on petites.
- Ted Baker Oregon Technicolor Bloom Patent Matinee Wallet: A romantic wallet to sport year round. The pattern is forgiving of scuffs and quite durable.
- SOREL Cate the Great Wedge: Sleek, weatherproof and trendy. The three inch wedge is surprisingly comfortable, and the boots are lightweight. Browse the colour options.
- Topshop 'Betty' Booties (Women): I haven't seen these booties in person so I can't vouch for their comfort. But the texture is interesting, and the heel height stable and manageable.
- Kenneth Cole Boots - Lawton Buckle: Great boots for high volume feet and narrow ankles. Quite comfortable.
- FLY London Women's Aula Slouch Boot: An interesting colour and style. Fab with cropped jeans to showcase the style of the boot. Comfortable. Might run a size small.
- Zara Flat Leather Ankle Boots: Soft, comfortable and streamlined. A lovely warm shade of toffee.
- MATISSE Mattisse 'Lambert' Fringe Bootie (Women): Maximally fringed and dramatic. Comfortable. Read the rave reviews.
- Bos. & Co. 'Holden' Waterproof Boot (Women): Haute Hiking Boot Chic. Available in four colours. The white looks the most crisp and the cognac looks the most rugged. Cozy lining, grippy sole and weatherproof outer. Easy side zipper access.
- Via Spiga 'Alto' Over the Knee Boot (Women): A fab over-the-knee style for narrow calves. Works on both low and high volume feet and is surprisingly good on petites.
- DONALD J. PLINER Nikko Slouchy Boots: A great tall boot for for regular and larger calves. The slouch is unique and edgy combined with the sleek pointy toe and narrow heel.
- 7 For All Mankind Floral Print Skinny Jeans (Gallery Floral): Fun floral jeans. Works best on a rectangular body type or straighter bottom half. Good on petites
- Texaco Booties: I haven't seen these floral cowboy boots in person, but they look well made and would fit a narrow ankle.
- Ted Baker London 'Sinda' Print Midi Pencil Skirt: A soft floral midi skirt to wear with a black or off-white support act.
- Ted Baker London Ted Baker London 'Kida' Floral Print Dress: An A-line Mod dress in a striking black and white spaced floral. Good on a smaller bust. Great with black opaques if you're after more coverage, or sheer black hose for a ladylike effect. Very pretty.
- Donna Morgan Floral Scuba Fit & Flare Dress: A fab fit-and-flare for a small-busted petite. Add black opaques for a long lean line.
- Adrianna Papell Floral Jersey Fit & Flare Dress: A great fit-and-flare for a curvy hourglass or pear shape.
- Standards & Practices Floral Print Skinny Jeans: Graphic Floral Fabness. Runs small.
- Ella Moss 'Stella' Lace Culottes: Elegant black floral lace culottes for the holidays. A lot more interesting than a lace pencil skirt. Fun dressed up with a soft silk blouse or crop top. Or dress them down with a denim shirt or jacket.
