Of course, "must have" is how you interpret it. Need or want

-oxfords (which I have almost given up hope of finding now)

I want to replicate my Mum's 60's(?) leopard print fake fur swing coat.
I really want a vanity case to use as a handbag.
Possibly a black leather pencil skirt.
Low heeled oxford styled ankle boots.
A jumper with pearl embellishment.
a fair-isle type sweater for casual days
and lots of trousers.
I love lists and can't wait for yours.

Oh my goodness, it goes on and on and on and on and on. On for so long that I'm feeling rather overwhelmed right now -- yay, bought two pairs of booties this weekend! Oh no, didn't get the rest! I'm trying to remember to pace myself, and it'll still be in the 80's this week here (though low 50's during the night, so mornings and evenings are cold).

Winter puffer
Leather jacket (probably tan?)
1 pair ankle boots (though I'll hold off until I see my use patterns)
1 pair knee-high boots in cognac (ditto)
Non-jeans pants
Some winter-appropriate dresses
Leggings for under summer dresses to get them through fall at least
Teal purse
Cardigans in basically any flavor but black
Tanks/tees for layering under cardigans
Stand-alone sweaters of all types
Possibly a blazer

Wow. I better get shopping! I just did a big closet cleanout, and I got rid of nearly everything from last year. This is a little scary!

Tan/light brown booties. Still considering the MIA's I got at the Rack.

Long Sleeve Layering tees (brown and cream)

Short Sleeve Layering tees

Textured hose (black)

That's about it. I guess I'm feeling pretty good about my fall/winter wardrobe.

A knee-length leopard print trench, in cotton. I've found plenty of synthetic versions, but I demand cotton! I DO sew, but I would never attempt a coat. Rayon or viscose scarves in rich colors and prints. Perfect leggings - I think Vera Wang leggings from Kohls may be the solution here.

Steffie, I LOVE LOVE LOVE teal with purple. My two favorite colors!

Mariana, you reminded me: add leopard print flats! I've been looking for a while now...

I have to start from scratch this year. I have several things from NAS but would like to add:
1. Slim pant for work (they have seams down the legs in the back...and have ZIPPERS on the bottom!

Something with lace, ideally a top. But all the lace items I've seen are too scratchy.

Still wanting skinny cargo pants, but no luck with those yet either.

A light gray blazer, to layer with jeans.

A paisley print scarf, again light gray. Haven't seen any of these in stores.

Oxford shoe, with a low, 2 inch or less heel. No luck with these yet either.

I would like to find a waistcoat or vest. Any suggestions? Also, still looking for a flat pair of brown tall boots that fit my calves (13 1/2 circum) I have had no luck.

I'm loving everyone's lists! Hubby and I have a shopping spree planned in October, but I haven't thought much about what I want to buy.

Possibilities include;

No, I'm not black rutting! I'm just stocking up on my workwear basics and am sick of my current stock of brown!

I'm slimmer.. so this is an excuse to shop for smaller sizes of my basics:
1 black pair of jeans
1 blue pair of jeans
1 pencil skirt
1 camel winter coat
2 cascading cardigans
1 pair of flats
leopard scarf (to go with my black wardrobe)

Love these lists! So deliberate - yet flexible. That's the way to go about a list.

Julie, I used to carry around a vanity case as a handbag in the 90's. My Mum also had an animal print swing coat in the 60's.

I have a few things on my list - but the one that might surprise you is a rich chestnut leather jacket.

Let's see...Black boots and booties are number one on my list. I hope to add a beret in a flattering color - possibly cream - and gloves in fun colors like red or teal. A new bag is on the list too - hopefully red or deep blue. And I am always on the lookout of a great jacket and waistcoat!
I am trying to restrain myself to a short list here....please do not tempt me!:-)

-Fabulous jeans - They are always on my list regardless of season. Tough to find
-Dark denim jeggings - I haven't found the right pair yet
-Black leather boots - I'm sending the pair I just got back. The fit my calves ok, maybe even a little loose, but the ankles were a solid five+ (yes five!) inches to big
-Drapey cardigan in a rich saturated color: deep green, prussian blue or claret would be good
-Flat oxfords
-Brown jacket

That should fill my major holes. I'll add more icing later

Am I the only person who doesn't want oxfords? Good thing too, since my want list seems eternal!
Blouses (I want to transition to wovens and need to get some more)
Black, slim-legged pants (cigarette pants, I guess)
Low, versatile wedges (maybe black and white animal print) for every-day wear
Pewter metallic loafers
Knee-high boots that make me feel incredible
A fall-weight dress in a solid jewel tone. Would also be happy to find a denim dress
Cotton-rich Microcheck pants (they don't seem to exist in plus-sizes)
Stirrup leggings
Black booties that will work with dresses and skirts
Cropped moto or military vest in black
White light-weight moto jacket (that could go for spring I guess)
Jewel-tone blazer
Of-the-moment structured handbag, colour undecided (blue? Purple)?

YIKES!! Thank god I can cross denim jacket off my list now!

dark wash jeggings
black layering dress - I'm looking for a very simple, versatile piece that can take me through most seasons. (Weather here is very mild so totally do-able I think.)

I "splurged" and already purchased a BF sweater and 2 of the drape neck Gap ts. I also need to do a closet clean out and get a couple of items altered.
