A few weeks ago we had a wonderful family gathering to celebrate the bat mitzvah of my twin daughters. They are still planning a separate party for their friends, but we did a weekend event for the close family (around 30 people many of whom flew in from the US) in a town in the mountains.
#1 My daughters chose their own dresses but I supplied the shoes. Those Frye engineer boots were brand new found at the thrift store. I thought I would be wearing them but one of my daughters has the same size feet as me (so far).
#2 What I wore for the photographer day one, as cut out of one of the group shots. (Galliano dress previously seen in one of Angie's challenges, lacy black stockings and Jeffrey Campbell pumps bought for the occasion.)
#3 Day two was a no photo day, but I tested the outfit at home (DVF shirt dress and same JC pumps)
#4 Just because .
Backstory: It has been an extremely hectic and emotional few months for my family. We had just begun planning my twin daughters' bat mitzvah when our family was rocked with the sudden death of my SIL. The family rallied around the bat mitzvah as a happy shared event and most of the cousins and all of the aunts and uncles, along with two grandmothers joined us for a wonderful Shabbat weekend. I am very grateful that we were able to both celebrate and remember my SIL over the two day occasion.
Thank you for letting me share it with you!
