Wow, thank you so much for your warm thoughts.
Bijou, KKards Thirkelgirl, Sally, Karie DonnaF and everyone, it was really good for all of us to have the chance to get together for something happy. My SIL was mentioned and remembered in every speech and many other small moments and we are learning how to cope with the new reality.
Manny yup twins and the shorter one is one minute older too! Thank you being called hot cracked me up.
Jenni NZ interesting observation, thank you. My husband comes from a very religious Jewish background and most of the people there were religious or had religious backgrounds. We had our own services (the place was set up for that), and speeches, but mostly food. I do think it was a good balance.
Sterling thank you!
Diane what a sweet thing to say!
Joyce thank you, I am very pleased with those pumps - I didn't even notice I was wearing them.
Sara what a lovely and insightful comment - I see our personalities that way too.
Suz thank you - I love how put it "what a blessing to be able to celebrate even through the tears for your SIL."
JAileen harmonious is another lovely description. Thank you.
Bonnie - daughters are super fun and twin daughters are fun (and fights) squared !
Ledonna I am glad you asked - I should probably have explained. Bat mitzvah occurs when girls become 12 (boys are 13 when they are bar mitzvah). According to Jewish tradition the girl or boy automatically becomes responsible for keeping the mitzvot (commandments) at that age, but there is usually a party and some content involved. And yes it is a sort of sash that is sewn into the front of the dress!
Catseye A shoe person after my own heart!
Joy, SarahF, Rachy, Lyn and MsMaven thank you!
Diana the color is the best part of the dress, thank you!
MsMary and Barbara Diane Thank you! I will pass the wishes along.
Inge warm hugs right back to you. Thank you so much for your sweet note.
Laurie yes, that is life isn't it? Thank you, unique is a big compliment in my book!
Brooklyn thank you.
DonnaF it is crazy how time gets faster as I get older.

You have all started my day with a smile!

So happy to see these pics! It must have been particularly sweet to celebrate, given your recent loss. Gathering the family together is a chance to remember and love one another.

Your girls look fabulous -- each with their own style. I'm loving the blue dress -- I am a sucker for cobalt, and the final photo showcases your fabulous, dramatic hair!

Quick chime in from the Netherlands to say that your daughters look Killer like their Mama. All three ladies are beautiful in blue. Happy festivities, glad that you have been comforted by family, and much love to you. Xo

Thank you for the explanation its so good to learn about the different forms of celebration and traditions.

Beautiful girls, fab dresses, and so glad you had family together to celebrate.

Beth Ann thank you. A family gathering was really the best way to remember my SIL.
Angie thank you for taking the time out of your trip to write! Enjoy the rest of your trip!
Ledonna I agree completely.
Helen11 thanks!

Mazel tov! Beautiful dresses all around, but that blue one in particular looks spectacular. Serious hair envy, too.

Congratulations to your girls!

You all look beautiful! Was the color coordinating intentional, or a happy accident? The three of you look like a catalogue spread for a fashion label

My complete sympathies, big congratulations and total enthusiasm for how great y'all looked. That is a beautiful color on you and those Frye's your Daughter nabbed are excellent!

Thanks for sharing the photos of you and your daughters. What a trio in those gorgeous blues! I also like you in that lovely print dress.

Sorry for your family's loss. Being able to come together can be extra meaningful at such times.

You are all just beautiful.
Congratulations on the good stuff and I am sorry for the sad. Life, huh?
