I had a bit of fun playing with the most recent formula post. I tried to recreate similar outfits for the past four days, and wore them for various casual outings. I changed the color palettes a little to suit me, e.g. beige became brown in #3, orange became orchid in #4, etc. Th fifth outfit is also layered, but based on my Dark Romance theme, worn for an informal dinner at friend's place on Saturday evening.

#1: My version of "Skinnies and Maxi Coat" uses purple coated skinnies, which look more blue in the photo, instead of burgundy. The skinnies were combined with a houndstooth vest layered over cream turtleneck, long black puffer, chunky black booties and black bag.

#2: In my version of "Wide Legs and Maxi Coat", the plum cords are relaxed straights, and coat teddy. The cords were combined with a matching Fair Isle sweater layered over a cream turtleneck, cream booties were added to match the cream coat, and it was finished with a scarf in multiple shades of purple.

#3: For the "Loose Layers and a Flared Skirt", I changed the beige to brown, as beige is indeed soul-sucking on me and thus I have none. My black pleated skirt has an asymmetric hem. The skirt was combined with a loose white shirt, sleeveless brown sweater, brown faux leather trench, with lots of of black accessories: chunky patent loafers, socks, bag and beret.

#4 Finally, for "Cropped Lengths" I used orchid as I don't wear orange. I keep thinking that a cream puffer vest would be useful to have, but I am yet to get one, so the closest I have is cream faux fur vest. Thus, orchid cable cardi was layered over orchid/cream striped tee, and combined with cream crop kick flare cords, cream faux fur vest and cream booties. The micro cross body bag is a hot pink Coach, that is totally not my style. However, it was a birthday present for a milestone birthday from a dear friend, so I keep it and try to wear it from time to time.

#5 Bonus layered outfit, based on my Dark Romance theme, in eggplant & black palette. Eggplant sleeveless sweater was layered over black silk burnout blouse, with black velvet crop kick flare pants, black patent booties and black bag, finished of with an eggplant coat.
