WIWW: Versions Of Light Blue With Black & White

I love the possibilities in an Angie ensemble, and this week is no exception. Light blue is my favorite pastel, but I generally don't wear pastels much, so I don't have a lot of it. My only light blue pieces are a shirt, sweater and boyfriend jeans, so I worked with those. I also tested a pair of strappy black sandals that I consider keeping:

#1: Light blue sweater with cropped black pants and strappy black sandals plus white tote with black details. This is an outfit I will love to wear when the snow is finally gone and I can leave off my topper. I can add my denim jacket to this.

#2: White tux shirt, faded boyfriend jeans, black sandals and bag. I added my taupe moto because I will be needing a topper for quite a while. If I substitute the sandals with booties, this is wearable a lot sooner (which I will do, of course).

#3: Light blue shirt, white jeans, white belt and bag, black blazer and strappy sandals. Less casual than the other two and great for work.

Suz, it's awful, isn't it? All those lovely spring outfits only waiting to happen, the ground is finally dry and starting to look spring-y and then - bam! We had a half a yard of new snow yesterday. Bah. I'm happy to hear that you like the sandals! I've posted them in a K/R thread, too.

I love all three looks Ingunn and have been known to wear very close to the first and third looks myself. It would be interesting to see the second look with your navy leather jacket too....I can imagine it would work very well. Love your style Ingunn and today is no exception.

So good to see your crisp and fresh outfits! The sandals are terrific -- as long as they are comfortable enough, I think they are a natural choice for your current style.

The simple, modern softness of #1, and #3 is a great business casual or travel outfit. I like the relaxed look of #2 against the tux shirt --- I think I would love it best with a lighter bootie, even though that takes out the element of black from Angie's post.

I don't like the black with 2 -- something white or light would be better, or a darker topper? The black distracts away from the soft and casual look. I just see the sandals. They're awesome sandals, but the whole ensemble is so nice that it's a bit disruptive to my eye.

All three look great! I'm partial to #1, perfect ease and simplicity. I think #2 with the topper would look better with booties (as you say you'll be wearing while it's cool), and once it warms up I think it'll be better sans topper so we get the nice contrast of the tuxedo shirt with the BF jeans. And #3 is sharp! Do you have a metallic belt? I think a little shine could be fun there.

These are all great looks. My personal favorite on you is look number 3. I'm glad you tried a look where the only black is the shoes/purse. I wondered how that would turn out, and I like it.

Hi Harmonica, I bought them in Sandvika storsenter, but they are widely available, I think. They are by Vagabond. The only other color I've seen is white, and they are fab as well. Good luck!
