Last year I added a large silk scarf to my accessories collection as an experiment.

I was so happy with the silk scarf that I wore it all winter in lieu of a knitted scarf. The colours worked particularly well with the reds and blues that dominate my wardrobe - but not so well with the wines and greens that I sometimes wear. Last week I found the perfect scarf for those colours while thrifting. I'm not sure of the fabric content (any labels were cut off) so I hand washed it and gave it a gentle press with the iron. Today it had it's first outing!
