WIWs: The 'Hard' cords (photo heavy Outfit Lab)

To roadtest the fit of my thrifted Levi 607 burgundy corduroy trousers, I wore them pretty much non-stop this past weekend; I experimented with different belts, tops & shoes (the legs look funny with the jumper dresses because I tucked one into my boots & folded the other inwards, for comparison).
You can see the corduroy *does* sag as time goes on (worn consecutively, no rest days), but to my eye it's not too bad with a belt? These would be an alternative to my chocolate cords, as a non-neutral option for casually structured, winter bottoms.

(PS: Sorry about the photo dump. I'm not sure where exactly to look for fit issues, so here's everything lol - including a behind shot! I promise my butt isn't really eating my pants in #23, it's just an unfortunate angle I'm also pointing out my belly button in #2 for 'mid-rise' reference.)

Love your sense of humour ( butt eating pants)!

What a workout you gave those cords! They’re very versatile as your photos show, and fit well.
My fav is the pairing with the cream sweater, nice proportions and bookending with your shoes.

I think the fit looks good as it sits comfortably around your waist. Really fun to see how you styled it so many different ways. I also like your method of wearing them non stop to road test something new. seems like a really effective way to get the feel of a new item, more powerful than just a "try on session"

The fit looks good to me. I prefer the cords with the cropped tops, but with the longer tunics, it is a nice change-up too. They look like they will be nice and warm in winter, a good alternative to denim jeans.

More votes for the cream cardigan - thanks! I initially wasn't sure about the 'light on light' with my deeper colouring, but think it works with a darker column of colour underneath

This extensive try-on was actually triggered by the fact that some folk on the previous thread had identified the nature of corduroy as a potential fit issue (if it bags too much with heat, it will slide down during the day). It's served me well as both a fit test & 'outfit lab' pairing session though, so I might add it to my future 'new purchases' repertoire

Thanks, me too (✿^‿^) It's funny because I used to wear the 'dresses over pants' look a lot, but it doesn't feel so 'fresh' lately. Will layer up this way when the temps drop again, though - glad to have a second pair of cords to add some colour to winter looks!

Thank you - I didn't dress very 90s at the time (grunge etc didn't really appeal to me back then), so doing it My Way™ now
So the fit still looks okay, even in the later outfits? Wasn't sure if saggy bum, lol.
Thanks - my hair usually pretty much stays in a clip off my neck when it's hot, so you'd best get used to seeing it like this until Oct

These are great on you! I really like them with the light shoes and light cardigan. With the tunics I especially like #38 with the dark boots. Your hair looks gorgeous throughout.

As for #38, which leg do you prefer - tucked in (left) or bloused out (right)? Not sure if it makes much of a difference with the boots anyway, but just trying to temper the length of the tunic top

What was the question???:-) Love these, especially with the cream cardi-I am not fan of long dresses over straight pants...is it so cold there???-you have a beautiful slim figure why hiding it in all that much fabric!

Lol well it's 15C today but buildings here don't have central heating & our floors are tile, with a wide open balcony... so whilst it may not be quite as cold as home (the UK), it still feels cool enough for jumper dresses right now - but it was 25C last week, so who can predict, lol?

The cords look fantastic on you! Great colour with your hair. I prefer the shorter tops with the cords, but all the outfits look good. The cream is a nice contrast to the gorgeous wine colour.

I like the cords now! Styling makes so much difference. The boots are my hands-down favorite footwear. I like the shape of the cardi, but the color of the tunic. The belt is great.

Thanks - thinking of buying a backup pair of Blondos, since they've become a workhorse.

The cardigan is Seasalt Cornwall - have been patiently stalking for better colours, but so far no luck...
