is what my mother used to say to me when I would try on straight cut dresses! Now don't get me wrong, she was a wonderful mother. She just had a poison eye for potato sack fashion, which is what I suppose #1 is. I, however, love this dress! I purchased it earlier this summer and have worn it constantly. It goes with all of my summer shoes and sneakers. It's linen so it creases like crazy, but that's the charm of linen, right? You can't really see it in the picture, but I'm also wearing the Kate Spade earrings that were in Angie's Finds during the NAS. I LOVE these earrings!
Some other recent WIWs:
#2 is a dress I picked up at Talbots at the end of last summer for $100 off the original price. This is altered, it was a size too big. I might take it in a little bit more in the waist.
#3 and #4 were worn on two of our cooler evenings. I'm not sure about #4, something felt off when I wore it but I couldn't put my finger on it. Maybe it's the proportions?
The only items that were purchased this summer are the dress, the cardi in #3 and the top in #4 (mine is not petite like in my Finds). Everything else is one or more years old.
