WIW x 3 for the Weekend With the Same Footwear

#1 - Saturday

Shopping for house necessities. Lamps, curtains, bathroom fixtures, carpets, everything! It may sound fun, and I am grateful I'll be in my own house soon, but I am also mega tired of it all. This whole furnishing the house has become Groundhog Day of our lives.

#2 - Sunday

We went somewhere deep into Bavarian forrest to a fab family run brewery to meet hubby's work colleague and his family for lunch. Busting out the new navy dress, perfect candidate for my recent obsession with "What IF I had to spend the whole season in one clothing item?". If only there were more dresses in this length! Old hat as we were warned it was a busy place and we might have to park far away and walk a lot in the sun. Old bag (8-9years?) for more emphasis on casual. Every time I see this one in the winter when I tidy up my wardrobe I wonder why I ever bought it (the colours look so washed out to me when viewed in the winter light), yet in the summer it suddenly looks appealing. I have a few things that 'match' it really well. Still, I'm on a lookout for a new straw-ish bag, more streamlined, simple and neutral.

#3 - Monday

Public holiday. Went for an ice cream to neighbouring city I love. Busting out the new summer hat, the skirt that was given a new lease of life recently, old casual white button up. In the temperature of 38C (100F) I managed to catch a cold by the end of the day! So I'm stuck at home as I type with uncomfortable tonsillitis and a child who's on a school break, yet I can't take him out

All outfits with my new neutral espadrilles. Last two summers in the new climate have shown me that this style of shoes is perfect for my lifestyle here and I jumped at the opportunity to buy these when I saw them as I knew they'd fill a big hole. Great balance between dressy and casual, comfortable and perfect-for-me wedge height (2.5 cm / 1 inch), and the type of soft full sole make them equally great for countryside, cobbled streets and city asphalt too.

#2 looks soooo comfy and easy. I like the drape of the fabric in your dress.

#3 is gorgeous with the red skirt and light hat and shirt. Oh, and your espadrille's are fab!

Love your newly dyed red skirt Ornella, and all 3 outfits are perfect! Love the espadrilles as their color is a tan for you, I can see they go with everything, good buy if they are so comfy(I didn't have luck with my cheapo ones, as they have rigid wedge) and seems like you had a great time wearing these outfits all-love you in hats, too:-)

I have a cold too so I sympathize. Wish I knew how to make them go away! I have been drinking tea with plenty of honey,lemon, and slices of fresh ginger.

My hands down favorite is pic 2 although you look lovely in all the pics. Fit number 2 speaks to me because you have created a beautiful and functional fit with just 4 pieces. The shoes are really great are they hard to keep clean do you have a back up pair?

Those look like a great workhorse shoe. A wedge and a low heel is my ideal shoe, what a find! And your WIWs just answered my personal question as to why I am struggling with the few dresses in my wardrobe. I want to mix up the looks, but they are all prints. I'm thinking printed dresses are harder to remix for occasions perhaps?

Fabulous, all three! But #3 especially Those are very cool shoes, I love the strappy strap. Sorry to hear about the cold, I usually drink loads of hot water with honey and lemon; adding ginger as Diana mentioned is good, and adding a pinch of cayenne every other few can also help. Hope you recover quickly!

Awesome relaxed euro chic in a more feminine rendering than most we see. Love the lived-in what-this-old-thing? vibe of the bag... I can see the lure of an updated version but this one is a great punch of confident colour. and that navy dress is drop dead!

my hat is off, Ornella. well, figuratively at least... it has been a heat wave fortnight of 115+ Celsius and guess who else caught a cold getting groceries and running errands in the sun? holy basil and redcurrant tea for me. and fruity smoothies. and chicken or lentil soup with lemon, LOTS of garlic and rosemary or sage.

Chicken soup is on the menu automatically when we all get sick. Ginger I've started introducing more when we moved here, my son's paediatrician recommends it highly. Cayenne sounds great

Lentil soup with lemon Mani? I love lentils every way, but when should I add lemon?

Sage is the proven cure of my childhood for sore throat and tonsillitis. I just seem to have caught very stubborn kind this time.
