Normally, when I do a WIW on Wednesday, I have at least one day where I aim for smart or business casual. Not so much this week. Today would be my usual volunteer/meeting day and we're literally in the midst of a blizzard, so school is cancelled and I'm not leaving the house.
#1 - work-at-home uniform of sorts, with the jacket tossed over for whenever I go out. I just got these twill joggers from Eddie Bauer and I LOVE them. I think they're actually cuter than they photograph. They're ruched up the sides, which gives them that scrunched texture, but the camera exaggerates the wrinkle-effect. The camera also exaggerates the sheerness of the black linen tee. In normal light, you can't see my bra, I swear!
#2 - errands on a warmer day. Higher-shaft ankle booties paired with a dress probably isn't conventionally flattering, but I like it.
#3 - keeping it real for you... as if I ever do anything but. My day yesterday involved combing the yard at the Habitat for Humanity store to find wood flooring for my show booth, and then hauling around the chalk-covered canvas I use for backdrops. I'm covered in chalk in this photo and holding my new parquet tiles. RATE would be understating it, but the jeans/tee/puffy vest outfit worked well for the day.
#4 - view from my driveway before the snow and wind really kicked up this morning. One very optimistic robin.
All your thoughts are welcome, as always.
