Alas, I am not yet on vacation, but I do work from home. So borrowing a page from Jjsloane, I decided to dress like I was on vacation, anyway!

The first outfit was from the other day, after I looked at everyone with their gorgeous white clothes, and re-visited Angie's White on White Pinterest board.

The second outfit.... yesterday I was digging through a box of clothes that I plan to auction/take to consignment/donate... and I found this dress! I bought it early last year for around $30 at Marshall's to wear to Aruba. I got home and promptly decided I didn't like it anymore. No idea why! It's one of my favorite colors. Maybe because I was about eight pounds heavier, and it just made me feel dumpy. But looking at it again, the fabric is so soft, the color is so pretty, and we are doing a lot of travelling, boating and swimming in the pool this summer, so I thought it might make a nice coverup. It pulls over the head and is very summery.

So I tried it on, and I am infatuated with this dress! It's a little big in the armholes/shoulders, but it drapes so much better now. And it is so comfortable, I feel like I could wear this all the time. I have a dress rehearsal tonight for a show, and I'm going to wear this outfit, because it's so easy to take on and off, and a bunch of us plan to go out after for drinks and hopefully some dancing.

JJ, thank you for your brilliant idea! Every year, I get to the end of August and feel like I've somehow missed out on summer, and I usually feel a little let down. Now I feel like I am living summer, even while I work!
