WIW: Tomato + burgundy +wildcard shoes

When I first saw this combo, I hard a hard time seeing how I could make it work, but after unearthing my only red shirt, I gave it a go and I'm pretty happy with the result.
I tried it with two scarves- I think I like the 1st one better (the burgundy one), but I also liked how the tan one bookends the shoes.

The booties are brand new- one of my two fall wildcards. I like how they have a modern, minimalist look but can be dressed up or down. They are also quite comfortable! Does YLF approve?

Wow - I wasn't sure about tomato red with burgundy either, but this looks great. Love the booties too. I think I prefer the bookending of the tan scarf better, but either scarf works.

Wow, this is superb on you! The colours make you glow. On my screen the tomato reads a bit like bright pink, actually -- but either way, it's a fantastic outfit. I love the shoes, too. I think I prefer the Burberry - like one (plaid) for the bookending and for the way it feels like "fall."

Funny story about the scarf. Right after finishing grad school with no clothing budget to work from (and absolutely no clue about brands at all), a classmate gifted me with a big bag full of hand me down clothes. This scarf was in there, and I wore it happily for over a year. An acquaintance saw me wearing it and made some comment about Burberry scarves. I nodded as if I knew what she was talking about, then later checked the label, and sure enough, it was actually a Burberry scarf (or maybe a knock-off with a realistic looking label?). I had no idea I was wearing an "iconic" scarf.

Another vote for the Burberry and the whole outfit is beautiful on you. It would also look good with a top that had more bordeaux in it, so you can keep playing with this look that is so appealing. I am drawn to that bookending of the great shoes with the scarf. Well done, head to toe.

I love the shoes. they extend the legline because of their color. I also like their chunkiness -- the white pants look so fresh with the shades of red which can get heavy visually. The white adds some contrast and lightness.

Eliza- thanks for the suggestion- the jacket is perhaps more of a dark plum rather than a bordeaux (if I'm getting my wines right?). I have quite a few shades of burgundy in my wardrobe since it's probably my favorite color, so plenty of other options to play with!
Day Vies- thanks! I actually stumbled across these booties while looking for a "nude" color bootie for exactly that reason- I need all the leg-lengthening I can get since I'm quite short. Most of the other ones I found were a cooller taupe color or an orangey cognac, so I was very happy to find these in a nice warm tan shade.

Looks super! I think both scarves work nicely; the tan adds an additional fall feel, though I think a more circular knot to make it look infinity style would work best. Nice boots!
