I have been excited to try this combination because I have items in my wardrobe in all of these colors. After church today I just wanted to be really comfy and casual, so I opted for this outfit that would take me from lunch and lounging on the sofa at my inlaws, to shopping for Ethan's school supplies at Target and Walmart - where I risked life and limb wading into the piles of notebooks and paper supplies on the last day of the tax free weekend (shudder). This outfit did the trick. I am having such a hard time getting photos to show good color and silhouette, so I tried to get lots of angles and close ups so you could get the idea. The shades of ink (thrifted tank), grey (CAbi skirted leggings) and black (sheer cardigan and straps on the sandals) are tonally quite similar, but in good light they are obviously different colors. The shades of brown and cognac in the cross body bag (Fossil) and sandals (Kahili) provided the most contrast. All in all, I really liked it, and it felt wonderful to wear something so casual after a week of work and church. Sometimes I just want to wear only soft and stretchy things...
