We are at the tail end of Summer now and I’ve been doing lots of repeat wears and mixing and matching. Not much variation in silhouette - mostly skirts and shorts. It’s too hot for long pants now and I haven’t found a dress
I’ve taken quite a few photos over Summer but haven’t had time to post. To wrap things up I plan to share some of my outfits, categorised by colour.
“Warm and spicy” is the first colour grouping.
Over Summer, inspired by my desert rose theme, I’ve been wearing lots of warm earthy colours: burnt orange, terracotta, dark red, rust, olive, gold, tan, camel. Similar colours to the spices favoured in North African cooking, like paprika, cinnamon, turmeric, cumin. These colours feel summery to me (North Africa is hot!) but are not the traditional (western) colours of Summer.
Pics 1-5 are some of my inspiration photos.
Pics 6-15 are some of the outfits I wore in this colour group. Most are casual daytime outfits. You can see my DIY dye Zara boxy tees have been getting a good workout. And the rust coloured Zoe Kratzmann skirt is a workhorse.
