WIW: Silky, slouchy, steel

This is the Helmut Lang steel-knit cardigan that I thrifted. Worn with Rag & Bone silk cargos and quilted booties. I feel very happy in a futuristic way in this outfit. Please let me know if there's anything that could be improved.

Sorry for the poor lighting on this grey day, and for the pile of even more purged items behind me!

I LOVE this outfit. It's totally wearable and approachable, while also being a little avant-garde. I get a vintage Issey Miyake vibe from it (if I'm remembering that look correctly). I deeply covet that steel-knit cardigan.

Love it!! The different textures are really cool together. I usually go on about structure with flowy pants, but I think it works on you - maybe because you are IT you don't get the parachute effect from slouchy pants? Whatever, it's fun, and I could see IK in this, too.

KInd of avant garde and edgy but soft around the edges with the slouchy pants and shapes. I think it works very well for you - not overpowering as some of these shapes tend to be.

I really love this. All the textures plus the volume-on-volume are so cool.

Also, you look really tall to me here.

I really need some silk pants. I had some last summer that literally fell apart and since then I've been a little wary of them, but they were so comfortable and drapey.

Una, yeah, I think mine were probably just defective. They sprouted big shreddy holes all along the inside crotch and thigh seams after I washed them (according to the tag!). They were from Anthro and not too expensive so maybe they were just poor quality. I did get my money back though since they agreed it was ridiculous.

My slouchy clams are cotton/silk blend which is very nice but not nearly as luxe as 100% silk.

Angie - YAY! I am so happy that this passes your muster. This is work-wearable for non-client days. And I am taking the cardigan to Hawai'i for covering up in a tropical evening breeze. It is more versatile than I realized.
