WIW: red and white for July 4

My outfit to watch the fireworks. Hot days here, it cools down at night.

When I look at the pictures, I see the top pulling at the bust, suggesting it's tight fit. Feels like a lot of my shirts have this issue! Somewhat frustrating because when I try on the next size up, it is often shapeless....as this shirt was. But I'll keep working on this.

Nice casual outfit! I agree to go a size up in the top. More loose and fluid fits are currently on trend, so it should work nicely.

Love that red on you. Your outfit is a great low-key reference to the day. (I actually saw a woman wearing red, white and blue flashing twinkle lights. )

Thanks Tanya and Joy for the comments! I do love this shade of red...and it is not so blatantly patriotic as some of the American flag shirts that I saw.

I don't remember this shirt being quite so tight when I bought it. Since it is all cotton maybe it shrunk a bit. Will keep working on finding shirts that work for my hourglass figure and are not too tight or loose.

I echo Tanya that the top is a size too small all over.

Your jeans look really nice, and wearing them with sneaks is on trend. A sockless look is more current though, so perhaps you can try a footie next time.

I love how you did red, white and blue! For your top, have you tried stretching it a little when it's wet? After strecthing it, let it air dry. Sometimes that's worked for me. Also, I'm not sure how tall you are, but have your tried looking in the petite section for tops? I usually have to go up a size, but that's worked for me when one size is too small and the next size up is too big.

I love the white jeans and they definitely have a high happiness factor Will try with footies for a more on trend look.

Yes, a friend recently mentioned trying petite tops and I'm going to look into this.
