Sorry this is such a bad pic - and it's probably just gong to get worse as the days get darker. ;-0

It is SO cold today! I'll be wearing my down skirt. I'm not sure if this works - it seems a bit over-slouchy. And pink does not feature largely in my wardrobe, so this is what I've got.

I am not very sure about the slouchy look and how it is supposed to be but my first instinct would be to wear a more fitted jacket.
Love the color combination.

I know I am in the minority but I think the volume and color is overwhelming your small frame just a touch. I do love the color though.

Wow- I really like this! But then I'm a person who does like a slouchy look. I think all these pieces are beautiful on their own that's why they work together. Also, I have a feeling this is even better IRL than in a photo. With slouchy looks, the movement and drape of the fabric as you move is part of the charm.

Sixteen degrees! Yikes! Stay warm!

For some reason I thought you returned that Michael Kors jacket, it's from NAS right? In any case I'm glad you kept it, it looks great on you. The whole outfit is stylish, bright, and work appropriate. And good for you for wearing pink! I hope you are wearing tights underneath, 16F makes my teeth chatter.

I wish the down skirts were more affordable--- they'd be perfect for sliding over jeans or slacks to commute in without then having to strip off the long undies or tights from under your pants when you get to work. For outdoor pursuits I still think my long undies, fleece pants, waterproof pants combo (all thin/compression layers) would win in windy CO where too much ice wind would get up my skirt!

You look great-- thanks for posting a BCAM post-- I think I will wear mine on Thursday since I will be hiking and the only pink I have down here in AZ with me for the month is my wicking top and Nike workout hoodie!

I love those pink slouchy trousers on you Una. I am wondering however if the jacket is just a touch too long to work with these? But that just might be me.

I think you carry off this look very well. For me, I usually prefer a more fitted pant with a loose jacket, but this combo looks great on you. It's great that you are supporting BCAM!

Shannon, you could be right. The back is shorter than the front - the front panels drape down. I do think this looks better IRL and it reminds me of some of Deborah's drapey outfits. I don't mind a whole-body-surrender look on me either, as long as it's not unflattering! It certainly is comfortable.

Elly, the synthetic skirts are cheaper and actually work quite well too - I know there are a few knockoffs around as well. Just saw one at Athleta. My long skirt is nearly to my ankles... I have to unzip the sides at the bottom with the two way zip if I want to take long strides!

WOOT! I am super-happy wearing this, so I'm glad it works. This is fairly structured volume, really - both items are woven and pretty tailored.

BTW, this is another outfit that caused two old items that I to go into the consignment pile.

Oh, I would love to see a close up of that blazer. You say is drapey? I have been looking for one for FOREVER. You are able to pull off very complicated silhouettes and this is proof. I would look totally ridic on something like this. You look great!

It was under $100 on sale. I'ts very drapey but also structured somehow. I think you would look great in it with your height. But I don't see it at Nordstrom anymore.

Well I love the slouchy, volume on volume look and I think this looks great. When I first saw the jacket, I thought hmm, that's not THE jacket, but it works really well, what is it? The interesting thing is there is something similar about the cut in the front - straight down then flared out at a sharp angle - and I think whatever it is works really well on you.

So, normally I have a poisoned eye for saturated colors with black, but I think this is so YOU that it totally works. Rock that hot pink!

This looks amazing. I like the fact that it kind of " breaks the rules". The volume on volume works. I am now on the lookout for a similar jacket to this Una. Seeing you rock this style jacket has convinced me I need something similar. The slouch on the pink pants is perfect:).
