I tried the JWA Uniqlo quilted skirt in navy. It arrived this week and is pretty wonderful. Very much a midi length, even on me, so I was able to try the effect with navy tall boots. I enjoyed wearing the combination a lot.

The skirt is lightweight for a quilted garment, and stands out in soft folds. Plus, pockets! The sizing is very true to its own size chart. You need to know your waist measurement where you plan to wear it.

It fits in very well with my collection of vintage quilted skirts, while being more basic than most. I had “winter navy skirt” on my wardrobe essentials shopping list, so that’s done!

I also wore a new puffer yesterday. This is one gorgeous piece, and fits hourglass and pear shapes wonderfully. I got the small and it was just right, even over a Whole Lot Of Skirt. Most negative reviews were to do with the size of the hood. It is on a grand scale, and quite dramatic, but suits my “romantic fantasy” shadow style perfectly. It is not a subtle coat! Especially in bright white. I will be searching the archives for tips on keeping it pretty.
